The fraud began Feb or March 2006, when i jointed for a free membership. A few days later us$ 5.99 was taken from my credit card. Since 14th march 2006 every month 5.99 us$ is taken from my credit card.

I disputed the charge, and requested the bank to stop all charges from this company. The bank told me this was not possible.

Still today i find this company on the internet:

Our "Customer is Always Right" policy ensures that we take action sufficient to provide each customer with complete satisfaction, including making refunds for any charges which a customer has incurred but disputes. We want to take care of the issue that Kevin has discussed therefore, we strongly encourage him to contact our Customer Care Department, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by calling 00-800-4374-3637. This is a toll-free call from Belgium.

Unfortunately, because Kevin did not provide very many personal details, we could not find an account that matched the information that was provided by him. However, the charge that Kevin is talking about sounds like a VIP iFriends membership. The regular iFriends membership is free, but the VIP membership has a monthly charge associated with it. This charge is clearly and conspicuously disclosed in advance, and in order to sign up for this upgraded account type, a customer must participate in numerous click-throughs to indicate his acknowledgement and consent to the monthly charge.

Whenever we send a charge to a credit card, we also include a toll-free telephone number (in this case, a number that Kevin could use from Belgium), that he can use to contact us if there are any questions about the charge or about the account. We also provide a link to email and telephone contact information on every page of our website. Despite this, Kevin has never contacted us to discuss the charges he has received. Had he contacted us, we would have been happy to immediately refund the charges and cancel the account. Again, we strongly encourage Kevin to contact is immediately, either by phone or by email, to resolve the issues with his account.
