I have been using ifriends now for about 2yrs (roughly) and I have never had a problem. The site has been fine and the service has been good.

This is until I found a charge on my account for almost $80! I called my bank immediately and cancelled my debit card, and then I called WPI: Spoke to a rep and they stated that all the chat and ip data came from the same computer that opened the account. I said to them, that I did not authorize this charge. They responded with giving me half of my money back. I hung up and decided to call back the next day and notified them of the cancelled bank card and no way for the money to be refunded; but I was not very happy with them only refunding half of the money when I did not purchase this particular "session" as they called it. I have made plenty of purchases on WPI and never disputed one single charge - and for much more than $80. I explained this to the next rep that I spoke to and they stated that maybe I didnt realize I used the card, or one of my friends did it; .... nice.... SO then I explained to them that my bank account wasnt even active at the time of the purchase. They explained that this was an outstanding charge and was being billed since it was declined previously. -- Now why on earth would I use my account when I knew there wasnt nothing there?? I mean seriously.

She also stated there was nothing they can do and that the half of the refund was simply a courtesy as all ip info etc etc pointed to me. I explained to her that I did not make this charge, yet they refuse to hear it. I decided to file this report and will contact my bank again to dispute the charges; The information they have is ridiculous - and I seriously hope they're happy about losing a customer I've spent upwards of a 1k with them over the past 2 years. I really used to enjoy their site but not anymore.

Due to the lack of informational details provided by this complainant, we were unable to locate the iFriends account in question, and thus have so far been unable to take action to resolve the issue. As we have previously demonstrated, customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we will take all steps necessary to ensure this, including refunding charges that a customer incurred but disputes.

We are extremely unhappy with the manner in which this customer's concerns were mishandled when he contacted our Customer Care Department, and we want to remedy the type of problem he has described. He details the response he received from a representative a response which does not meet the high standard that we expect of all of our employees. We emphatically encourage the customer to contact our Customer Care Department, which can be reached by calling 1-800-243-9726, and that he specifically ask to speak to a supervisor, so that the issue can be resolved without further delay. We sincerely apologize that this was not handled appropriately when the customer first contacted us.
