Complaint Review: Wrights Adult Foster Care Home

i was living in a bad situation and needed to get out quick. i was in the process of moving into another apartment but it fell thru at the last minute. so, i was in a real bind. i am on disability and thought hey, maybe i will stay at a afc home for a while until my apartment becomes available.

so i did some calling and went to wrights afc home in manton mich. i had all my stuff packed up and with me. i got to this place and when i opened the front door the smell was just like a restroom at a campground (one that never gets cleaned). so, i go down the hallway to my room, open the door and the room was trashed. crap all over. filthy. it was about 11pm and i am beat. no wheres else to go.

i will cut right to it. not only was the place a stinking, filthy toilet, but the food was cold, the staff was untrained and verbally abusive. dried feces all over the bathroom walls, toilets, etc. they would run this broken vacuum that didnt even suck anything up. the phone kept being turned off because good old heidi wouldnt pay the bill. the satellite tv kept being turned off for non payment. there was no lawn mower, and the yard was overgrown and full of weeds.

the resident manager that was living there at first was married to a convicted child molester.

i was pissed off about the verbal abuse i saw towards a 92 years old woman that i called the state and filed a complaint. they came out and checked into it and that person does not work there anymore.

i moved out of there the third week of october. i talked to heidi about the balance of my rent ($138) and she said that i would receive it within two weeks. two weeks went by and no check. so i wrote her a letter demanding my money. still no check. so i called my lawyer, then the next day she has her thief assistant kenda call me and tell me that the check was mailed the previous week, and they would have to put a stop payment on it, etc. in other words..."the check was in the mail". yeah right. well i did finally get my check a few days later.

all i heard about the whole time i was living there was her employees saying what a thief and rotten person she is. they were right!

heidi also owns another home in cadillac mi, and one called country easy living, in reed city mi.

dont ever ever live in a place like that. not even just for a little while. this woman is a big thief and liar. this place was so bad you wouldnt even send your mother-in-law that you hate to live there. its worse than i could describe here.
