I ordered a pair of Coach Sunglasses and a Coach handbag from this so-called "outlet store". I was a little worried about making the purchase since I had never used the site before, but the website looked legitimate with nice pictures and graphics.
Two weeks later I received my package and it is not at all what I ordered. The coach sunglasses were a brand named "Ray Ban" and the Coach bag was a fake (and looked nothing like the picture of the bag I ordered). I immediately contacted the company requesting a refund and instead was told to "give the item to a friend as a gift" and then they would give me a discount for another purchase from them. I replied and told them that I didn't want any more items from them, instead I want my money back.
After many emails and hesitation on their part, they gave me an address to return the item, but told me they would not cover the cost of shipping. I told them that I was not paying $43 to ship these items back to them. This was their companies mistake and they should cover the cost of the return shipment. Had I got the items and changed my mind, fine I would pay shipping, but when they sent me the wrong items, I shouldn't have to pay to cover their mistake.
So at this point I'm in a tough spot. Obviously the company has committed fraud and false advertisement (their website shows pictures of the REAL Coach products and no where on the site does it say that they are fake) however I don't want to pay $43 to ship the returned items to them. The items total cost was $121, but I don't want to pay almost half that just to get the money back.
