Complaint Review: www.dellpartsnmore.com

www.dellpartsnmore.com www.buycomputerpartsdirect.com No communication, no contact info, 5 week delivery time, dirty parts Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey

This company is shady enough that it has to change its name about once a year.  It is now called www.dellpartsnmore.com, but can also be found by doing a Ripoff Report search on Compu Technologies or www.buycomputerpartsdirect.com.  Read the business owner's abusive responses to customer complaints.

Well in my case it was the same old, same old. Ordered product in mid-October, received the last week of November. I don't know if it will work, but I hope it does as the whole process of filing any kind of claim is purposely impossible and intimidating.

I wouldn't have ordered this, but had passed it along to my secretary who dutifully ordered it for me. When we were 3 weeks without any communication or product, we went back to contact the company. Guess what? No contact information.

Now the business owner's diatribes to others state that he sends out upwards of 5 emails, but rest assured, we never received one.  If he replies (and he probably will--he's very defensive...hmmmm wonder why?), he will probably swear that he sent emails, but I give you my word, he didn't.

This just seems to be a shady way to do business, and the rebuttals to other Ripoff Reports speak volumes about the quality of "customer service" one can expect. Most of his responses are along the lines of "You checked boxes that said I could screw you over, so it's your fault you got screwed, not mine."  Seriously, do the search, I couldn't make this up.  Also interesting to note is how many times he calls his customers liars and morons.  Real integrity there in Lake Hiawatha, NJ.

I would shy away from this "company" ever again.  I will post an update later as to the quality and functionality of the dirty, sticker-residue covered part that I received.  But seriously, if you haven't ordered from dellpartsnmore.com, don't.  It's not worth the trouble. The owner is definitely certifiable.

As far as the person who made the comments about the support site, it looks like you did in fact have the appropriate means of contacting the company. The reason why you get blacklisted from a site is due to your conduct. More than likely you did something to warrant begin banned from their site.

Im a merchant and you only hear one side of the story and never what really happens, people that complain on sites mysteroiusly forget to include their conduct that lead to such actions.

Company's dont act in such away unless you yourself did something. You go and describe the support site in such detail, only means you had direct communication with that company. Looks like you definately did something to warrant the so called blacklist.

As far as prices are concerned, all online stores list the prices of products next to the payment, so there had to be a way that you say the prices there infront of everything. If you didnt like the price, then you should of went to another vendor to buy it. There's something fishy about your story that doesnt add up.

Conduct yourself as an adult and see if you can get assistance. Like we said, we get those type of people that make threats and such and we dont like it any which way.

You get alot more in life by being nice. No one wants to deal with someone that acts in a nasty way. Like I said, this sounds like 1/2 truths that your leaving out what you really did.

Here is how to deal with the scammer

Sorry you've been had.  You cannot contact them as they are a scam.  Your only recourse is to dispute it on your credit card and to be prepared to dispute again if they try to place it as collections on your credit file - which I doubt given the cost of the attorney but they've threatened it with others.

I have filed a separate report on my case:
http://www.ripoffreport.com/computer-manufactures/dellpartsnmore/dellpartsnmore-product-undeli-c4f1f.htm

However there appears to be a response to this post, if anyone could kindly advise how I can contact the company regarding my issue I would greatly appreciate it.

To sum up my situation quickly, I ordered from the company back in December and received an order confirmation email almost instantly, I was also charged for the product with the same efficiency. Since that I have heard nothing and not received the item. The 'terms and conditions' mention that contact information will be detailed in all communications from the seller. The order confirmation email I received did not contain contact information and was sent from an alias email address.

I would be happy to discuss this with a representative of the company if they are willing to do so.

Many Thanks,

Damien.

They are a scam refer to RoR # 737342

They are a scam refer to ripoff report # 737342   Dispute the charge on your credit card and be prepared to fight them over attempts to report it as a collections account.  You have two choices (1) pay them if you don't have the time and energy to fight them - they're counting on this by the way or (2) get mad and do something about it.  Again refer to the above report and search on computechnologiesinc and compu technologies for more information.

And by the way I contacted the VP of OEM Sales at Dell to let them know about this bogus website with their name in it and their logo plastered on the front page.  I happen to know Dell very well including their policies and practices of dealing with companies that "resell" their parts or use their logo's on their website or their name in their URL.  Hopefully Dell will file an injunction to get the site shut down.

Have posted some interesting follow up info on RoR # 737342 which should appear in the next 24 hours.  Expecting we can find this guy before too long and hopefully before he does any more damage.

Still No Refund

As expected, his promise of a refund was meaningless.

It is clear that doing business with this guy is a bad decision. I have already started the charge back process - which I am sure his credit card processor is not going to like. So maybe this will help put him out of business.

I did a Google Map search on their street address and, lo and behold, it's a UPS Store. What a surprise!! I'm sure that's just their shipping department, the corporate office is likely in their moms basement. The web site looks like mom did it herself. I especially liked the fact that they use a RapidSSL cert for their 'security'. These go for about $10/year. They don't verify the business entity like VeriSign does.

I have to strongly suspect that these 'professionals' are foreigners and not very smart ones at that.

If you want to be called a 'moron' by someone you bought something from, buy from this guy.

In fact, go to their site and go through the purchase process, step-by-step, and read all of his requirements. No where will it tell you that you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for him to put the item you paid for in the mail.

Who would willingly buy a replacement computer part and wait 6 weeks for it? This is unheard of.

Who would want to buy from a company that doesn't give you access to them, either by email, or telephone, or even a support ticket system that allows you more than 250 characters to ask a question.

And I simply asked for a tracking number or delivery time. If he couldn't provide that simple information then how can anyone expect him to be honorable enough deliver a product? He can respond to ripoffreport postings within an hour, but a support ticket dealing with a business transaction takes three days?

If he indeed has a 'Chicago' office, I hope I get contacted by them. I would really like to talk to someone involved with this guy. But just like my refund, I don't expect anything from him.

I am an Attorney. I have been talking to the Prosecuting Attorney where we believe he lives, so they are getting more information for me. He might think he can hide behind all his hoops, and try to scare customers into having to deal with him or face the threats he makes, but I assure you he is in legal trouble. His threats are baseless. He has no legal rights because of the way he does business.

So, if you have had problems with this guy let me know. If he does not come clean he is committing a crime. My case alone is a felony.

I hope I do not get a refund, because that gives me the legal standing I need to go after him. I do this for a living.

If you want to buy from him you are free to do so. This web site and this particular posting only gives you information. Use it to make an informed decision.

I will say that the originator of this post is completely truthful, and the responses from the seller simply shows you are asking for trouble dealing with him.

And in the spirit of truthfulness, I will post here if he does actually give the refund he promised. If he doesn't follow through that will speak for itself.

Lets Paste Exactly What This Moron Said You Decide

#15UPDATE Employee

This is exactly what this idiot said on a support ticket verbatum.

Before we do :
-The prices were clearly stated on the site prior to any payment being made. He submitted his payment information after the charges were displayed on the previous page and then again on the page that had the information which was submitted.
-These chargeback disclosure and other policies were clearly stated prior to any checkout being made, moron agreed to these policies prior to any payment or shipment information being made. He had stated that he had read and agreed to the terms and then stated the same thing again at the checkout page. All policies were disclosed prior to any purchasing being made. Those polices were there because of people like this idiot.
-Prior to completing any tickets from our support site, there are numerous statements for buyers to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

This is what moron wrote :

"I will give you 24 hours (until 5:30 EST tomorrow) to give me a tracking number or a time. If you do not respond I will request a chargeback from my bank."

Mind you he signs a legal document which discloses our chargeback policies an he signed it not even 30 seconds prior to completing the ticket. But it shows him blackmailing and threatening our company against the legal document he just completed signing.

Then we responded :

That we will not tolerate such conduct from anyone.

Then moron wrote again :

"If it doesn't come then I am prepared to to litigate. Your forms and hoops you make people jump through are illegal. And if I litigate you will lose more than my purchase price."

Once again making more threats and you wonder why you got banned and blacklisted Carl.

Grow up! You will get sued idiot!

More Idiots To Deal With

#15UPDATE Employee

This is Carl Newlen. Bought something 2 days ago came into the support site and already started making chargeback threats and every bs excuse to attempt to blackmail our company. We dont tolerate this from anybody not even this physo!

We gave him his money back, warned him to his conduct, he continued to do so, we he was immediately blacklisted for his 2 year old behavior. Then this looney tries to initiate more of his BS by writing this crap. You wonder why Carl you got blacklisted, your already on a list with 500 other vendors that are not going to accept any of your purchases.

You go on and make threats which are documented in written and trust us, it will be used against you legally. Now we can add slander the you being sued! Our Chicago Office has already been notified to file charges against you in Ohio.

You are truly a simpleton! Those disclaimers are there for a reason, for people like you!

The Customer is correct - avoid this company at all costs!

#15Consumer Comment

I placed an order with this company last week. There were no shipping choices, but for an $80 used motherboard the shopping cart added two additional fees: $21.00 for shipping and an additional $6.00 not attributed to anything.

I received an email showing my order and the total. However, there was no mention, whatsoever, of the company name and/or telephone number. They also stripped away their email address in the received from field, so there was no way to reply.

This was the first of many red flags.

I looked through their company web site - and it had no contact information at all.

They host on a free hosting account and have their whois blocked.

I found this information on ripoffreport, so I decided to dig deeper.

You can get a phone number from the credit card transaction, but the number tells you you have to go to thesupportcenter.us, and that they do not take phone calls.

Now, at no time, do they mention their business name. and when you go through the support process they make you agree to all kinds of crap, and they tell you that they reserve the right not respond to any message they think is 'not professional.'

It is ONLY at the support site, that you can ONLY find out about by getting their phone number from the credit card.

And most importantly, it is ONLY at this site where they tell you your package will be mailed within 4 to 6 weeks!! Really, 4 to 6 weeks before they mail it, not counting delivery time.

By the way, many banks and credit card companies have a 45 day time limit for making fraudulent claims. Coincidence? Who takes 4 to 6 weeks before mailing something they say they have to sell?

I jumped through the hoops, where they requested the CC# again, the address, the order number, etc. etc. and when I finally came to the box where I can write my questions and comments, you only have 250 characters! It is like sending a tweet!

I asked for a delivery time, and said I am giving them 24 hours to respond. They responded today, 52 hours later to say they found my message offending and that they are refunding my money. They also told me I was banned from using any of their web sites. Sort of funny. The email they sent used support@domain.com as the return address.

They blocked my IP, but I had already made copies of their web sites, and I can change my IP easily enough.

So if you buy from them you will lose your money. Of that I have no doubt. You will need to go to your bank to charge it back.

Now this guy does make you check a box that shows you agree that you will pay an outrageous fee if you charge back, but this is illegal. You have to agree to all this stuff even before you can ask a question or make a comment, but no where does it mention a company name or email or telephone company.

And like I said, you have only 250 characters to ask a question.

Awww, how cute.  Thank you for making my point for me.

Folks, feel free to check out how he deals with everyone that he has taken money from.  Don't fall for it.  Even if he was honest, life is way too short to do business with such jerks.

Again, check out his other diatribes by doing a Ripoff Report search on Compu Technologies or www.buycomputerpartsdirect.com.  It is well worth the entertainment value: plus you don't have to give this "business" any money to do it.

Now to the intelligent rebuttal posted by our literate friend here:

  • I made no complaints about your supposed terms of sale.  Just pointed out how you hide behind pages of BS so that you will have no accountability.  Where I come from, we call that cowardly.

  • Speaking of hiding one's name, what's yours again?  Thought so.  Coward.

  • Could you post screenshots of these supposed policies somewhere?  You say they pop up at checkout, yet my secretary recalls no such thing.  Methinks you may just be a liar on top of being a coward!

  • Of course I "admitted" I got it.  There was no argument there. Just that it took a horribly long time, and that your 1990's style website has no contact info.

  • Please, stop saying we can contact the support site.  Your "support" site is anything but.  It doesn't support the needs of your customers, it supports your need to hide away from people like a child behind mommy's apron.

  • I promise I won't "tell us on your lyes" anymore.  WTH does that mean anyway?

  • "Post your first and last name here and we'll reply back with hard evidence!"  You first.  After all, I got nothing to lose here, except maybe the $30 I spent on a less than reputable company.  You on the other hand have the reputation of "DellPartsNMore.com" at stake...well, except you have no reputation.  Other than the legacy of poorly written insults to people who point your business out for what it is.
Fair thee well!  I need to go now and warn other review sites about yours.

Offensive..when people write crap like this you wonder why people get offensive. Obviously this person doesnt bother to read anything whatsoever. When he or they purchased the item, it states 2 times during the checkout if they had read and agreed to the terms and conditons of the sale. At the end of the sale the terms of the sale is displayed point blank to their faces.

Oh yeah mysteriously they dont get any emails whatsoever, but yet he hides his name. Well your credit card statement has the phone number of the company and it will state 2x to go to the support site. So no excuse whatsoever.

You read things about other reports and yet you dont read the policies that were displayed infront of you left and right. If you bothered to read the policies, obviously you didnt, it states 4-6 weeks for delivery! And guess what you admitted you got it. So dont tell us on your lyes!

Post your first and last name here and we'll reply back with hard evidence! No made up bs just the facts, which we're sure your not going to bother!=
