Complaint Review: www.nationalblacklist.com

www.nationalblacklist.com National Blacklist The Ultimate Tool for Internet Defamation Internet

Nationalblacklist.com is perhaps the finest tool available to anyone who seeks to defame (and, indeed, ruin) an enemy or a rival on the internet without fear of repercussion.  The site purports to provide a "service" for those in the escort "industry" by allowing supposedly aggrieved "escorts" to post--without verification or membership requirements--"reports" about the supposed habits or behavior of targets.  However, it is really appears to be an organized criminal enterprise that can be and is used by anyone who wants to blackmail and extort.

I had a problem with false reports being filed against me using my name and telephone number, which I won't identify here for fear that the unscrupulous people at nationalblacklist will use that information to further harm me.  I thereafter went on nationalblacklist.com, and saw the self-serving rubbish about "free speech" rights that appears on their site, as well as obnoxious statements to the effect that they just don't remove posts.  I didn't bother wasting my time by contacting them.  I'm not sure how I would do so if I wanted to.  Plus, I have no interest in negotiating with the seemingly ruthless and criminal types who operate the site.

After expending a *great deal* of time, energy and money, I succeeded through search-engine manipulation in relegating the offensive posts to the Internet basement.  So, fortunately, the problem is solved.

The site makes the claim that they are just like Ripoff Report.  They are not.  Ripoff Report doesn't post complaints about private individuals--it limits its reports to businesses and service providers.  Also, by virtue of the nature of the escort-related reports on nationalblacklist, people are shamed into not responding publicly to claims that are made.  It's not like a business dealing with consumer complaints against their company.

The upshot is this: If you want to defame someone on the internet out of spite or for profit, there seems to be no better site than nationalblacklist.com.  Don't like your boss?  File a fake report on the site!  Competing for the attention of a woman?  Deep-six your rival by posting escort-related lies about him!  Try it yourself and see how much fun it is!

Once again, you've merely cut-and-pasted from the pablum on your site.  I've already read what you've written.

The fact is, you're in this for the money.  In conspiracy with other criminals (whores/prostitutes/escorts), you have created a for-profit, subscription-based website that encourages (by supposedly making things "safer" for "working girls") further criminal activity.  By definition, you're offering a criminal enterprise.

Setting aside the criminal nature of your enterprise, it doesn't provide its target audience with a good service.  The information you supply is completely unvetted and unverified.  As I noted previously, *anyone*--female or male; escort or engineer--can post on your site and make escort-related claims about others.  As another posted observed, garbage in, garbage out.

Then there's the moral dimension of what you do.  As you note, the consequences of being listed on your site can be devastating.  Associate *any* male with the word "escort" or "prostitute" on the internet and you've potentially irreparably damaged him for life.  But you don't care.  If you did, you wouldn't allow search-engines to crawl your pages.  You would limit posts to verified "escorts."  Among other things.

Your CDA safe-harbor will soon disappear as more people suffer at the hands of malicious, cowardly on-line defamers.    There are other lines of legal attack.  It's a matter of time until you get your comeuppance.

Meanwhile, your site is full of garbage, and will become more so by the day.  So to everyone out there, I say: To ruin or defame or libel or tell lies about a man or person or someone on the web or on a website or on the internet without fear of detection or getting caught or consequences, go to www.nationalblacklist.com.

I wonder what percentage of the posts on your site are completely fake . . . ?

Have a nice day.

I don't know anything about all this, but I just wanted to correct you on one thing.

There are many reports on ROR against private individuals and ROR also will never remove a post no matter how untrue or damaging it is.

Just thought you should know that.

Nice tactic. LOL

While it is true, that any man who gets reported in our public safety blotter can face dire consequences by being publicly outed to his wife, family, friends, employers, co workers, etc, the notion of defamation is legally specific to ones reputation, and the existence of evidence or proof of the accusations.

In more high profile scandals, look what happened to former NY Governor Elliot Spitzer, former Senator Anthony Weiner, Presidential candidate John Edwards, former President Bill Clinton, and most recently Presidential candidate Herman Cain? The list of these supposedly socially respectable mean, turned out in essence to be egotistical narcissistic men who got caught cheating, and then adamantly denied and lied afterwards in an attempt to bluff and cover their bad behaviors. The list of men who've done this is endless. And, in the face of the evidence, and/or their actual accusers, they backed down and slinked away.

If a man tries to sue National Blacklist, or the escort who posted him, for defamation, he first must prove to the court that he is a man of high and reputable character. If the escort then presents evidence that he did see her, thus exposing him as not only a man who cheats on his wife with escorts, but he even went so far as to be an abuser of these females, his pleas would fall on very unsympathetic ears. The mere act of posting him to our registry would not be considered defamatory, because the courts would no longer consider him a man of respect, and it would be supported by the evidence he was hoping did not exist.

Think back, was a defamatory lawsuit ever brought against the National Enquirer when they broke their stories of any of the famous political sex scandals? Defamation only prevails when the accuser is wrong or cannot prove their accusations.

Whats funny is that while this guy and others before him, and undoubtedly after him, will deny, posture, threaten, and bluff, and even try to black ball our site with these lame and retaliatory tactics, when they contact us directly they are scared sh*tless, bordering on hysterical, pleading, and literally begging for us to remove the reports before their wives, their families, their current employers, or even perspective employers, find out by Googling their names.

This guy is no different. If he was really listed in our registry, we would have heard from him or his attorney. And in the face of a real defamatory lawsuit, wed be more than happy to work with the parties involved to resolve the truth of the matter. But not once in seven years has this happened because the escorts retain the proof (phone records, voicemails, texts, and email records) to support their warning posts.

We expect such propaganda like this will continue, and the guys will cowardly do so while comfortably hiding behind their anonymous handles and aliases, but it doesnt matter to us. The more bloated and hysterical the complaints get the more desperate these guys get and they only serve to show the escorts that our safety blotter can be a real and effective deterrent in warning each other from these abusive and predatory Johns.

In the event of a "real" defamation case, we ask that these guys come forward like mature adult men, not like little punks posting crap like this, and we will work with them and their lawyers to resolve their legally legitimate complaints.
