Complaint Review: Best Buy - norcent

Beware of any products from norcent for the quality and the customer service. Best buy carries these products. I purchased a CD writer from Best buy in May 2003 for $50 + tax ans sent the rebate to norcent for $30. 4 months later I called Norcent and was on the phone for 48 minutes (they don't give a toll free) and finally the girl hung up on me.

I called again and the same situation. The operator took the phone transfered to some one and after 32 minutes she told to fax my rebate copy again and hung up on me again. The fax number was a fake one. I called best buy and they conferenced with nortel. The nortel lady started asking the same question. By the time the best buy lady wanted to let us go and disconneced. SO no difference. I called norcent at elast 5 items after that and same thing. finally I called best buy and they said they are not responsible for this. The rebate is from the manufacturer.

BEWARE:

1. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY THAT OFFERS YOU A MANUFACTURER REBATE (exceptions are manufactures like HP, Dell, LinkSYS, Dlink)

2. DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM NORCENT . THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT, AND THE WORST QUALITY PRODUCT.

My CD writer didn't work at least one time ok. And I never got a support rep from them. Norcent means nonsense, a cheating company.
