Ordered replica watch from watchez.com, which appears to be a Mubai, India based company on May 27, 2006. A watch was received today which was not the model that I ordered.

I had exchanged many emails with watchez.com to assure that they knew the model I wanted whcih was clearly pictured on the watchez.com website. I had several questions on the watches functionality which were allasnwered in the affirmative.

Today I have sent three emails to watchez.com indicating my displeasure and disappointment but have not received any response.

I advise that anyone contemplating doing business with watchez.com not do so. I believe that this is a dishonest company incapable of delivering what they advertise.

I am just beginning to diseminate this information and will provide updates as information develops. Obviously, I would like tohear from watchez.com and have them tell me that they will correct their mistake and send me the right watch that I ordered. i do notexpect this to happen.

When I was overseas in Hong Kong there were "Rolex" watches for sale on street corners. These watches were 20 bucks. Cheaper if you haggle with the vendor. I bought one and three months later it was a paperweight. But what did I expect for 20 bucks; especially a "Rolex".

Update #1:

Have sent eight messages to Watchez.com since receiveing my incorrect watch order and they have not responded to any of them.

That,I think, says all we need to know about this less then reputable company.

In checking the web site of transecute.com, which acts as watchez.com's collection point, they note under a note titled "Chargeback" that "a credit card holder can dispute (chargeback) any transaction upto 180 days fromthe date of transaction, by contacting his/her Credit Card Issuing Bank."

I think this will be my next course of action and might be ujseful to others who have dealt with this less than honest and misleading company in India.

Another issue with Watchez.com website is that they claim photographs were takenby their own staff. That is a joke, they were obviously lifted from actual manufacturers catalogues.

ALso, as has beenamply pointed out by other contributors on Watchez.com. their website has many features that are non-operable such as online tracking. This has never worked for me.

Look for continuing updates as we progress forward.

These folks should really be put out of business.

Perhaps the Government of India should police these kinds of operations a bit more closely. After all, watchez.com claims to have been in business since 1999, I believe.
