I can only start by saying I'm ashamed of being in this situation, but I know I am not alone, I went to this Fairfield scam twice before being suckered in. After the salemen go through their pitch and told me not buy my home resort close to home such a Gatlinburg which is 90 miles away.He talked me into buying Myrtle Beach because he said (it would be easy to sell if I ever wanted out) only later to find out it has one of the highest maintence fees.

Then you are told easy financing with them the same day at a higher interest rate (to get the paper work out of the way) and after that you can refinace with your own bank or credit at a lower rate.(this take their names out of it) and you are stuck with the full amount. They went from $27000 to $17000 which I am stuck with paying off.( I fell for the whole boat)I only got 154000 points which is not enough to stay a week in Myrtle Beach only 4 days.

Now I am stuck with a maintence fee which started at $59 and slowly goes up yearly, it's now $65. 780 dollars a year would pay for a nice vacation motel. There is no way out, if I don't pay the maintence fee I have lost my 17000 and all the maintence I have paid in the past. The only hope I have is using it, which as you have read other, is not easy. I have it posted on a web site for sale for $10000. Who is dumb enough to buy one straight out?? Is this legal and is there no way out. These people are ruthless, heartless, and are taking advantage of more people daily, their telemarketing is located here at Johnson City, TN.

I too have been ripped -off by Fairfield Resorts ..My complaint ,listed elsewhere on this web site, is for Denial of usage since I bought my share in May '2003 til present date. there is guy in Tenn. i beleive, that has issues with FF and is looking for others to join a class action lawsuit against Fairfield on various charges ... The mans name is cooper If he gets enuf people together , then maybe the lawsuit can go forward. I too have gotten no where's with FF mgt in trying to resolve this dispute and would join that lawsuit if it ever takes off or I find others planning such legal action. you Might try calling Koch law firm /Tenn. directly @1-501-223-5310 and ask for Mr. Brant Walker/attorney. this is the lawyer Mr Cooper has talked with about lawsuit.

I heard about this web-site on 20/20 ABC, and I thought I would try, but after writing my rip-off report and reading over several others who are ripped off daily by this company(Fairfield-Wyndham) I have come to the conclusion that unFairfield is a legal criminal run by a bunch off blood sucking lawyers and I am a branded sucker for life. Thanks for letting me get it off my chest but that about as far as it will ever go.
