I paid 'Marketing Advantage' aka 'Central Reservations' to visit Myrtle Beach, S.C. I was contracted to attend a maximum 2 hour sales presentation but it lasted 5 hours. I wanted to leave but the 3 sales persons threatened me with revokation of my hotel voucher $358 and the $50 restaurant certificate. I was told to sit there and listen to their presentation or lose the vouchers. After being released I had to go back to my room and get on my breathing machine and take medications for heart disease. I got very sick because of the stress.

Jerry,

I feel your frustration. I once worked for Wyndham in the call center and called people to go to presentations. I have done extensive research on their sales tactics. Check out this website it explains how you can take the upperhand.

I have done it personally too. They jump right out of their seat to get you to go.

In fact, go to their presentations again and don't buy the timeshares. The company LOOSES money when you just get the travel deal. If everybody did that the company couldn't make money and would stop the high pressure sales tactics presentation game.
I have taken several trips on my former employer and have enjoyed EVERYMINUTE of them especially.
