Wyndham Professionals Demanding Salem New Hampshire
Wyndham Professionals called and told me I had 10 days to sign an agreement with them to pay off a debt or they were going to garnish my wages and they would take 450 dollars a month out of my pay. I only make $3000 a month and have more than that in bills. So they said if I put $500 dollars down and than paid $350.00 a month for 9 months that would take stop the garnishment and take it off my credit report. What hard working person can afford that in this economy. I wouldn't be able to put food on the table or buy gas for my car if I paid that. I told the gentlemen that if they were going to garnish my wages that I would just quit my job, because I would lose my house and car anyway. Does anyone know anything about this company? I would appreciate any input.

Anyone can garnish your wages IF they have a court order against you and know where you work. You MUST have that court order, though. It's a long process to go through and most people/companies, unless their huge companies with lots of money, won't go through the hassle. They'll send it to collections first.

If you can, seek the advice of an attorney, also talk to your HR dept, ask them legally who has the right to garnish, I don't believe a private corp can do that only the government (ie..child support, unemployment etc.)
If this is for a timeshare issue, then they can't because it's secured by the timeshare and they have to foreclose which also kills your credit but it will eventually go away...we are all in the same boat..
