Lightning struck building. Fire closed down all power for a week. Manager promised all residents new accomodations, assistance, and refund of food spoilage and meals out for one day.

Despite continued contact with this resort, the manager never did as he promised. There was no assistance in moving, even though replacement apartment had steps to second floor and husband has heart condition. There was never any refund.

We repeatedly went to the office to see when we would be paid. Manager was available up until he found out what we were there for, then he exited the building. We waited for hours. After returning home we called the resort. First excuse was that the manager was awaiting insurance settlement. Second excuse was that it was too late, report had already been sent to company headquarters. Manager NEVER was courteous enough to speak with us in person.

A year later we went back to the resort and got the same run-around. Two years later they tried to sell us more points. We told them, "Not until you give us our refund for Sea Watch fire." Amount of refund would only have amounted to $159.00. We were not asking for an exhorbitant amount of money.
