In September of 2007 I purchased two "Vacation Getaways" from Wyndham. I understood that we would be required to listen to a 90 minute sales presentation and then would receive our money back. I was also told htat I could cancel within 15 days of receipt of the written package. I decided to cancel, called the company, and spoke with a representative who assured me that the vacations had been cancelled, and I would receive my credit to my credit card within 7 to days. Recently, I realized that the credit had never gone through.

When I called the company, the representative said there was no record of my phone call. That is rather odd since the initial conversation was taped! Three days later a supervisor contacted me and pointed outthe fine print on the back of the paperwork that said the reservation must be cancelled in writing.

I pointed out that the fact that their representative had not once mentioned this, but instead had assured me that my credit was on its way, and that is an ufair business practice, he just kept saying it has to be in writing.

It is obvious that this is nothing but a rip-off tactic since they conveniently "have no record of a phone call."
