Wynn's Extended Care Warranty NO HONOR HERE! ripoff Brea California
I purchased a used 1999 Pontiac Grand AM in January 2007. The day I purchased it I had problems on the way home, but the dealership had closed. I came back the very next morning to report the problem which was dangerous to me and my small children.
My back end fish tailed each time I hit a small crack in the street. I asked them what was wrong with my car and if they could fix it, but they said since I had bought the extended warranty ($1,500) any problem could be covered for $100.00 deductible.
They said that I had bended my rim when I drove home. Not! I only lived right down the street from Aachen Auto. None the less, I replaced the rim. This did not help!
I continued to call and stop by and I got the biggest run around you ever wanted to see. About 2 weeks ago, I called them again and he said that they no longer dealt with Wynn Extended Care. They also said that I should take my car to another dealership that accepted this warranty.
Who was I to call? Wynn! They always tell me to call during normal business hours Pacific Standard Time Monday thru Friday. Newsflash, I live in eastern standard time working Monday thru Friday during Business hours. They announce at the bottom of the contract that I should call them before getting any repair work done. I call but I never speak to anyone. My car broke down on a Friday night, who can I call right now. Am I to go without transportation all weekend.
Last night, I loaded my 3 year old and my 7 month old sons into the car at about 10:00 p.m. to go home from a relative's house. When I began to back up, I heard the loudest POP and then my car scrubbed the ground in the front. I immediately jumped out and grabbed my children and went back inside. My brother-in-law went to look at my car and told me that my whole front end had broken.
You could know how that felt when I realized that me and my children could have been on that highway alone at night and it broke. I shook for what seems like the whole night. Each time I call the dealership, they tell me to talk to Chris, but when I talk to him, he doesn't seem to know anything.
So my question to you is what else can I do and who do I talk to? I'm paying for a car that is not running.
