First of all I would like to say Wynns is the biggest rip off in the world!!!! It all started the beginning of March, I was driving home from my bands practice when my 95 Mitsubishi Galant (Covered by a 3 year 35,000 mile warrantee) decided to break down. It was about 11pm and snowing like crazy very cold. Luckily there was a tow truck 5 min after I broke down because I had no heater in my car because the engine went out. That cost me $60 to get the car towed to my house. 2 days later I got the car towed to the shop $40, so in 2 days I have spent $100 which the warrantee company later should cover. . A few days later my mechanic called Wynns customer care. . The person advised him to take apart the car but if it was a part that was not covered they would not cover the diagnosis. So I ok'd my mechanic to take the engine apart. $350 now I am up to $450 out of pocket expenses which isn't too bad. My mechanic called in to the warrantee company stating my timing belt jumped which caused the shaft belt to break shooting shrapnel into the engine compartment causing the valves to bend. The outcome: I needed a new engine.

My mechanic contacted the warrantee company back they said it would be covered but they have to send a inspector. They sent it, they had no cheesy excuse why they would not cover it. Cost $3,500 to replace the engine. I am still out of a car, they are rip offs and it states my car is covered "Timing Belt".

I am currently involved in a lawsuit against them with the State of Colorado. If you are interested in joining on this company contact me.

Good luck to the rest of you! I recently heard Phoenix of America bought them, but yet to see any customer satisfaction. Their customer service sucks they do not escalate and they defiantly need a quality assurance department. I will be on Fox news in a few weeks against Wynn's warranty. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to join this lawsuit.

If you work for Wynn's I have contacted you numerously and you don't have the curtsey to contact me back. I have a guaranteed multi million dollar lawsuit against you and I suggest you take action. One last thing, I went to my dealer that I purchased this warrantee from and they stoped selling it because how bad it sucks and they fraud consumers. I recently was on a Radio Talk show across the US about this. It will get out there unless I see change. .

*-* WYNN'S received my lawsuit and have decided to settle this outside of court. Wynn's DID NOT step up to the plate it was Phoenix American www.phoenixamerican.com who owns Phoenix American. They decided to replace my engine pay for labor and reimburse me for towing etc. I still lost $400 is diagnosis fees though! My car is scheduled to be done on the 30th of July. About time, almost 6 months later. . .

LAST CHANCE WYNN'S YOU HAVE UNTILL JULY 18TH. YOU HAVE 1 chance to settle this for the replacement of my engine and nothing else. If decide not to take my offer your guarantee failure as a company is guaranteed. Again you will be placed on FOX news, Tom Martino show broadcasted over 2,000 cities nation wide and sent to Ken Salazars office to fight the ban to sell your product in Colorado. Last chance I suggest you act soon.

** NOTE TO ALL DEALERS ** Wynn's has numerous of complaints against them. Please review all claims submitted against Wynn's Warrantee. If claim is not settle within time frame allowed you will be able to view the ultimate Wynn's rip off page at ** www.ripoff.wynnswarrantee.com ** which is completed and ready to launch.

I can't understand how a company like this thinks they can possibly have a case? I work for a fortune 100 company and I work with the BBB, attorney Generals offices and lawyers on a day to day basis Wynn's has no IDEA how this can impact them.

RIP OFF COMPANY OWNED BY Phoenix of America Do not do business with any company owned by them. .

Dear Sean,

I have been following the progress of your claim with Wynn's. I work for the Attorney General's office in California. If you would be so kind to contact me regarding this issue I will be more then happy to file this in the AG office.

I believe this is a very serious matter that needs to be resolved immediately.

Under Claims Court we cannot file an additional law suit but we can defiantly place this complaint with the BBB and my office to process a possible class action law suite. I will post my contact information as soon as I get the authorization and all we will need is to have 10 consumers that are having problems which I will post on here.

Once we have done this we should have no problem starting a class action lawsuit which will cost you nothing out of pocket. Please stand by for contact information.

Sincerely,
Clinton AGC

Last Chance. . . I would settle this

#10Author of original report

* One quick note * I would settle this court filling to have my engine replaced. Currently I am going to court to get them to pay me for Insurance, Court Fee's, Towing, Car Rental which is going to come out to $4,500 - $7,000 + depending what the court decides. I have all my paperwork and case lined up. If I win it is not only going to cost Wynn's money for how much I win, but it is going to cost them a ton of customers. I have over 5,000 letters I am going to send out nation wide to dealerships explaining why not to sell Wynn's with my dealership backing me up, but as above they will be telecast nation wide on Fox new under Tom Martino's Fame or Shame and placed on over 2,000 radio stations nation wide. Also my band will be touring the USA this summer and that is another huge handful of people that will hear about it when all they have to do is settle this claim by replacing my engine. . If not all the above is guaranteed. Wynn's now has the court claim in hand. Let's see who has integrity. . .

Another Ignorant comment?

#10REBUTTAL Individual responds

WOW I thought I had something going here with the above comment. Well again I was mis-led. I contacted Michelle who is the center Manager but no one would let me speak with her. . . The above message is pointless regarding the issue that she nor Frank @ Ext 1168 have any authority over the claims department so that was again no help. Here is their dispute:

Part that Caused break down: "Balancer Shaft Timing Belt" Again "Timing belt"

Their Rebuttal: Even though it is called the " Balancer Shaft Timing Belt" its main purpose is Balancing not timing. . ?

I believe they need to hire some real professionals that know what they are talking about. I have sent the court sepeana to the Brea office for my Small Claims court filing. These people do not know who they are thinking they will win this court case. I have a lawyer standing by to escalate this case if needed which will not be needed. Once this case in one it will be appearing on FOX News and the Tom Martino show over 2,000 radio stations nations wide. If this case is one the Colorado Insurance commission and Ken Salazars office (AG) will get involved. Wynn's is really putting their company on high stakes for such a small price. I would recommend to get your act together before you find yourselves in the hole. I am requesting to have a higher level of authority then "Michelle" who did nothing and can do nothing. I am sorry it has come this far.

Again WYNN'S IS THE WORST RIP OFF IN THE WORLD!! IF YOU ARE A BUSINESS I WOULD NOT RECOMMENT DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM, IT IS SAD WHEN THE COMPANY I PURCHASED THEM FROM AGREES WITH ME. DONT GET YOURSELVES CAUGHT WITH WYNNS. JUST WAIT. . . TIME CAN TELL.

THANKS FOR NOTHING.

Wynn's Warranty is Not a Rip-Off

#10UPDATE Employee

Tue, June 24, 2003

Wynns has been in the automotive field since 1939 and is a consumer-oriented company providing a variety of products that add value to the consumers automotive experience. We acquired the extended warranty division (Wynns Extended Care, Inc.) from the parent company of Wynns last year.

These types of postings are very concerning to us, since customer satisfaction is our number one priority. The opinion expressed by this dissatisfied customer is contrary to the opinions of hundreds of thousands of our customers who have saved thousands of dollars in automotive repair costs using our warranty programs. Wynns Extended Care pays millions of dollars every year for covered claims. Unfortunately, not every mechanical failure is covered and therefore not every claim is paid.

Our management team encourages dissatisfied customers to contact us regarding their complaints at (800) 922-4392.

A very ignorant comment by the claim adjuster

#10Author of original report

Mon, May 26, 2003

I recently sent a fax from the Mitsubishi Dealer stating the belt that broke (Balancer Timing Belt) was in fact called "Balancer Timing belt" Under my warrantee it states that the timing belt is covered. I sent my fax to Frank a floor supervisor who had a claims supervisor look over it. After contacting them for 2 weeks they finally came up with this conclusion:

"The balancer timing belt is not covered because it is not a timing belt. Even though it is called timing belt its main purpose is not timing it is balancing." A very ignorant comment by the claim adjuster. Under my warrantee it states the "timing belt" is covered and does not state which one. Exclusions:. . . NOTHING IN THIS SECTION EITHER. I am proceeding with this in court, filing May 27th a multi million dollar law-suit. I have gotten together with the Colorado Insurance commission and are working to band the selling of Wynn's in Colorado. I will update you after the settlement.
