Complaint Review: X-tra Talent/marco Productions

I answered an ad in the paper regarding "x-tra talent and models needed" It was my first time answering one of these type of ads but of course as with almost all 17 yr. old girls, it was a dream of mine to make it "big".

So after convincing my dad that it was "for real" he agreed to take me. We met in a conference room with about 200 other hopefuls. We watched vidios and listen to a handsome man tell us that he was an agent looking to make the hottest new stars. We had to fill out a sheet of paperwork with our stats on it. Then after an hour of a basic entertainment knowledge lecture, we were told to call the company in 2 days to see if we had been accepted for representation.

I called and what do you know...I was accepted. I thought my life was about to begin. I told all my friends and family that I had been discovered by this BIG agent! I was told to meet with them that weekend. I met them at the same place and then the scam set in. i was told by this really cute 20 yr old guy,who i have to admit is now one of my best friends, who told me that i needed to have some professional pics done so I gave him $300.00.. I met them the next week for pics.

Yes I felt like a star as the camera flashed away and all the guest at the hotel stared in awww. Had I only known that would be all the stares i ever got, needless to say the last time i saw the agents. After my shoot the company told me the pics would arrive to my door within a week. MONTHS went by with no pics and numerous phone calls. Finally they arrived and were not that professional. Anyone could have taken them!!

I never heard from the company since but I did become good friends with the guy who sold me the pics. He was only hired to do a few conventions in FLA because he was HOT!! He had no clue about the company..He was hired to act like he was a scout for them!! HA. I'm sure this company is still around. I ma also sure they are going by a diff. name. Be aware of them!!! Really check an agency out before falling victim!!
