I origionally signed up for Xfinity's 19.99 basic internet package.

I have never received a bill for 19.99.

There seemed always to be some other hidden fee, or reason.

I was told today that I am indeed on the 19.99 package, but a bill description fee of 5.00, has been

assessed after the fact.

Okay, whatever.

Today, I get a bill for 34.99.

I call Xfinity.  The call started at 5:12 and ended at 6:05pm.

I was transfered 3 times and finally to the automated billing system which cut me off and forced

me to start the process all over again.

When I finally did get a customer service agent, I asked about the additional 10.00.

He said, it was a late fee.

I said, I am not late. The bill is due tomorrow.

He said, It is for a late fee back in December.

I said, I paid the bill in full in January.

He said, Okay, I will see if I can waive this fee one time.

Great, I say.

He says, after a long wait on hold.

Your new bill is 25.75.

I say, Excuse me?

Where did the .76 cents come from?

He says, Taxes.

I say, really? In my 5.00 bill description, it does not say .76 for taxes.

It's new.

I say, NO.

I want to speak with a supervisor.

He says, please hold and then oops they are ALL busy.

I will tranfer you to the automaited system now.

I ask, how much is the bill?

He says, 24.99.

Oh, I am thinking, the amount it says right here on the bill? LOL

I ask if the automated system will be updated.

He says, Yes.

I am transferred and the automated system says your bill is 34.99.

It asks if I wish to pay a different amount.

Yes.

It then says the amount won't be posted for 2 days

which will of course make me late and I will be assessed a 10.00 fee.

OMG

How much more of this corporate conning will we stand for?

Why should it take over an hour to pay a 24.99 dollar bill?

Oh, and one more thing. You don't have to give xfinity or comcast your social security number.

I did not give them mine.

They said, I had to or pay a deposit.

I said, fine, I will pay a deposit.

They ended up not knowing how to actually charge me for one.

If we all complain then perhaps we will get somewhere.

I suggest complaining near food and water source since you will be on the phone for over an hour, just to

pay your correct statement amount.

I wonder how many people fall for this RIP OFF SCAM?

Maybe that is why no supervisors were available?

I will contact them in 48 hours and make sure they did not assess another undue fee.
