On 12/20/2015 Ous son had an account with Xfinity but had Joined the Military, and contacted them to close the account, and after speaking with the representitive, the New account was supposto be open in our Name. 

The Auto payments were to come from our account, and ended up comeing our of our sons account. 

We contacted Xfinity, and they refused to speak with us, because our names were not on the account. 

Our Son who was in Boot camp, and acan not be reached for almost 6 months was unable to address the issue, 

after boot camp around June 2016, we tried to work with them to fix the situation. We tried to maintain the account, but we now had additional charges that do not reflext the service. and they stated we now had equipment, that we never obtained. We purchased our equipment at Wal-Mart, and even provided reciepts when they first stated we had equipment. 

 

Now move ahead to June 2017, we had a family member admitted to the ER, and we needed to move home and break the lease on our apartment. We contacted all the usual to cancel service, including xfinity. We made a final payment on June 8th and it was our understanding the account was closed. 

On July 12 we recieve an email stating that our account is not closed, we now have a 25.00 fee for non sufficent funds because the agent entered the wrong debit card number, and we are charged with an additional months service because the service was not canceled as we requested on June 1st. Oh, and they are telling us the Modem, and Router we have used for the last 7 years for internet service that we purchased from Walmart is theirs, and they want it returned. 

 

If anyone knows how we can file a complaint agasint Xfinity your help would be greatly appreciated...
