On Saturday February 21, 2009 Xpress Van Lines arrived at my house in Maryland to pick up my funiture and other personal belongings to be moved to Studio City, California. Due to inadequate space on the truck the move was spaced out to two days instead of one day that was scheduled by the reprsentative at the company. What was not mentioned was the fact that the original truck that had been driven from California had broken down in Baltimore Maryland and another truck had been rented to make the pickup on the scheduled date. After loading the first load of items they were taken to Baltimore and placed in a storage unit. On Monday February 23, 2009 the company returned with what was suppose to be the original truck to pick up the remaining items. We were told that the company would deliver no later than the following weekendand that the items would be driven directly to the stated address on the contract.

On Thursday February 26, 2009 we contacted the company to aquire the final day and time the items would be delivered. While speaking to the receptionist (Mitzy) she told us the truck had broken down in Ohio. We asked to speak to the manager (Danny)to get further information on where our items where being stored and the potential date for delivery. He seem to care about our concerns and took time to explain the situation. He promised to call back when he learned more about when the truck would be fixed and on the way. The call was never returned, so on Friday February 27, 2009 we called again to find out what was going on. Danny told my wife and I that the truck would be fixed no later than that Monday March 2, 2009 and if any problems arrived that he would send another truck to pick up the items and make the delivery on the rescheduled delivery date.

On Monday March 2, 2009 my wife called the driver (Andreas) the driver of the truck to see what was going on. He stated that he had been flown to Arizona to help with another move. Then my wife called to speak to Danny and Cassie the receptionist began to laugh and state that Danny was not in the office. At noon I called the office again and was told Danny would return my phone call. The call was never returned. I called on Tuesday March 3, 2009 and was placed on the phone with Mark. He stated that he knew who I was and that he would find out what was going on and that he would return my call the next day. Andreas the driver called Wensday March 4, 2009 and told my wife and I that the truck had been fixed and that they would arrive to our house no later than Sunday March 8, 2009. We informed him that this would be the fifteenth day of delivery and would breach the contract, since the contract states that delivery will be made within 14 days.

On Thursday March 9, 2009 Andreas the driver, called to inform us of the truck braking down again. We were told that the items would have to be off loaded into a storage unit and a new truck would have to be sent. The delivery would be rescheduled for no later than March 12, 2009.

Danny refuses to take my calls and his staff promisses he will return phone calls, which never happens. I am a producer and professional musicianand my wife is a singer and songwriter. I explained before we payed our $2100.00 downpayment that the way I make my living is on that truck. I am outrage that this company has displayed a lack of costumer service and professionalism. I have contacted the FMCSA and may be looking for a lawyer to take furthure actions to pursue lost wages due to the untimeliness of this move.
