Complaint Review: Xpress Relocations Inc.

Xpress Relocations, Inc. Eldad Avisidris Non-compliance to binding contract and charges, Hostage of Property, Violation of Civil Rights Atlanta, Georgia

  • Reported By:
Mr. Hammett — Atlanta Georgia United States of America

I was advised on 01/26/2011 by Xpress Relocations, Inc that my delivery date would be Friday, 01/28/2011. As of 01/30/2011 I still have not received my property from this company.

We have made several attempts to speak with the driver, another representative and even the CEO to no avail.

They scam me by jacking up their binding contract price, they arrival with a half full truck and only two men, in which all of our property would not fit on this truck. I had added expenses for transporting the remaining property from one city to another city by personal truck, the driver was purposely loaded items slowly it took them from 7:45am to 2:00 pm to load (approx. 7 to 8 hours).

We was lied to about the where bouts of our property. We was told by the driver that he had an accident in one city and was on medication and that was why he could not met the delivery promise date. When we call his so call Supervisor/CEO he claimed that the driver was bitten by a spider while sleeping at a motel and was in the hospital and assured us he would call the hospital to find out the release time and give us a call back..... after waiting for a call back, I decided to call the supervisor/CEO b back, the supervisor/CEO would not answer his phone.

Only after I promised via text to file a Criminal Theft Charge with our local police department we received a call back from the Supervisor/CEO stating that he was sorry how the driver behave and promise to give us a discount for any inconveniences. We never heard back from anyone from this company the Supervisor/CEO stop answering his phone.

I made one last attempt to call the driver in hopes he would have some type of compassion for our family. There me and my family was dirty with no change of clothing, they have everything we own on the truck with them, my daughter's asthma machine, my heart medicines, work uniforms, our children school uniforms and other irreplaceable items-everything. When he answer the phone I told him that we needed our property back as soon as possible and that the way Xpress Relocations, Inc was conducting business with no call backs, totally non-responsive , and disrespecting their customers was unacceptable business behavior.

The Driver yelled a racial slur and obscenity and stated that I would get my crap on Monday..dont call my phone ever again he hung up the phone on me.

Thats when I had enough of this incompetent company and decided to file a complaint. Buyer Beware...Caveat Venditor- I dont want this to happen to anyone else out there be carefully do your research well.

You are exactly CORRECT about these people.  They are nasty to 10th-degree.  They don't listen and they don't care about anything but the money they sucker people out of.  I wish there was a way we could all get together and file a class action suit against them.

Too many inconsistancies...

the driver was purposely loaded items slowly it took them from 7:45am to 2:00 pm to load (approx. 7 to 8 hours).

- How much furniture was moved? What typeof furniture was moved. Because first of all 7:45am to 2pm was only 6 hours 15 minutes. If you are counting "man hours" then that is about 12. Neither of which was7-8 hours. Depending onthe situationthat amount of time you took for 2 people is not out of the ordinary.

my daughter's asthma machine, my heart medicines, work uniforms, our children school uniforms and other irreplaceable items-everything

- Are you serious? You really put your heart medicine an an asthma machine on a moving truck? Even if everything went perfectly you would not have them for 2 days. Sorry but both items seem that they may be needed in those two days, or if they were needed not something that could wait.

Then perhaps the biggest inconsistancy...

in which all of our property would not fit on this truck. I had added expenses for transporting the remaining property from one city to another city by personal truck,

but then later you stated....

have everything we own on the truck with them,

- See the problem? They either didn't have enough room on the truck and you had to transport some items yourself or they have all your property. It can be one but not BOTH.

Why?

Why woud you put belongings on a moving truck that you need on a day to day basis? That is just not right. I would never send medication of any kind on a moving truck. Even if I only took it monthly I wouldn't send it on a moving truck. You never know what could happen. Nor would I send personal papers such as car titles and the like.

I always say, if you have seen thier moving truck on the road then it is most likely a legitimate business. If you have never seen a truck with their name or logo, you are probably screwed. Always use a reputable mover even if means spending more money. You will be thankful in the long run.
