Xtreme Fitness Froze membership for 6 months, then reinstated after 2 months and kept charging, now they wont cancel Redding California

I had a membership for the school year while I was in Redding California. Everything seemed to be fine, so I froze it when I left planning on coming back for a second year. I then find out, I wont be coming back, and was told I could cancel just by sending change of address by mail. However that was not the case, I was told to contact a company ABC Financial in sherwood arkansas, they told me I could not cancel and that I had to pay the fees. How could there be fees if it has be frozen, well they reinstated it after two months and continued charging for an above price we has not agreed on. Now they wont cancel unless the fee is paid and the membership reinstated which most likely means more money. Whatever you do, don't sign with Xtreme fitness.
