I bought my boat from Xtreme Marine of CT back in 2005. Close to an $80,000 was spent on my Malibu LSV. After that dealership got sold, that's when it all went down hill. My last problem with them was last year when the picked up my boat to get it ready for the spring. The boat also had several repairs that it need to be done that were under warranty.

My boat was picked up on March 23rd and was to be completed in two weeks. Week after week when I called I was told that the parts were not in yet, only to find out that I was getting the run around and they had not even been ordered. I found this out when I called Malibu in CA about the problems I was having with Xtreme.

At the end of May (2 months that they now had my boat) I had enough and went into the dealership and was confronted by this low life, John Shepard, whom by the way has the worst breath you can imagine not to mention horrible body odor.. ewww. We got into it a little verbally. I think he has a very hard time accepting that someone much younger then him was so much smarter and successful. You can tell it eats at him, He should never be selling boats to people, I'm sure he was better at the used car business. He has the used car look and mentality. Serving people your jealous of is never a good mix.

Anyway, after demanding my boat be ready or not I had someone come in pick it up. After 2 months none of the warranty work was done and the spring commission they charged me twice the amount they charged me the year earlier. $192 in 2006 to $492 in 2007. This did not surprise me that they would try to rip me off.

Before I put my boat in the water I noticed a leak near the engine. I had to call someone to fix it. Now how could I trust these clowns with what they did with my boat? I did a complete oil change and had a hose repaired. I then stopped my payment on my check, and they had the nerve to charge my credit card they had on file. I contacted my credit card company and gave them a bill for work preformed.

Now..here is the kicker... Xtreme had the nerve to call the police and tell them that the letter I gave to the credit card company was forged and put a warrant out for my arrest. Umm by the way I did just say that they charged my credit card without my consent? It's obvious that someone over at Xtreme knows someone in the Brookfield Police department to make this happen. bla bla bla My attorney is currently working on this.

By the way, Malibu pulled their dealership for Xtreme Marine.. go figure. I'm sure Xtreme will deny and say they let it go, but I heard it from Malibu in CA. Malibu in CA also sent another "reliable" dealer to come and fix everything that was under warranty.

Xtreme Marine has to be the worst place around. I have spoke with several other dealers in the area and they all this that place is a joke. The refer to "John" and the used car guy. Another term for (loooooser) They love the fact that they screw up so much, it's better business for them.

Glad to see you got your justice with Xtreme Marine. I was with a budy last week and he was telling me that there is a new marina on the lake that took the Malibu dealership. You might want to check that out. I hear so many problems from the Xtreme dealership. I think it's just a matter of time before they go out of business, and who want to buy a boat from them after all of their troubles with customers.

I almost forgot to update this..... Last month the bogus charges from Xtreme Marine of CT were dropped. There was no merit to of the charges, in fact we are still investigating the business practices of Xtreme Marine and other customers that might have been scammed by this company.
I'm sure they will come out of the wood work once people know that there are others out there that have been taken advantage of. Some already have by post on here.

Rebuttal? What rebuttal was that?

I own and operate my own retail store in the area, I'd like to know how a customer that is getting work done on his boat can get charged with fraud?

He states that he stopped payment on his check. Is that a lie? He states that his credit card was charged without his consent. Is that a lie? Do you have a signature to prove it? He states that you had his boat for two months and never did the work that was on the work order. Is that a lie? Do you have the paperwork showing the work was done? He states that you over charged him twice the amount of money for the same work a year prior. Is that a lie? What was charges last year?

As a business that is trying to rebuttal what has happened here, your like Hillary dodging the issued that has been expressed. Maybe you don't care much about your reputation being tarnished, but the fact that you would even let something get this far for $192.00 shows that your not a very smart business person. There is no amount of money you can put on image and reputation. It takes years to build on up and a few seconds to get destroyed. I for one have had to swallow my pride many many times. I don't like it, I hate it. Sometimes I want to beat the customer with a bat. But I do it for the business this is my lively hood. Ask yourself how much business your going to lose because of this? I hope it was all worth it.

It seems that there is an awful lot here to digest. As a buyer seeing this in the third spot of a google search and me looking for a new boat next season, I would never feel comfortable knowing my dealer put themselves in this situation. Not unless proven ALL facts stated here were lies. Which in this case after reading your rebuttal, the filed report seems to have good merit.

I hope that in the end you get this resolved. It's just bad business.

PLEASE... STATE THE FACTS!

Yes that is right.. state the facts.. why not tell people how you over charged me twice the amount from the year prior? Kept the boat for two months and did nothing? How you charged my credit card without my consent? Which is a felony in itself. And yes you do currently service Malibu boats, but you don't sell them anymore. Malibu would never have that. As soon as another dealer in the area pops up that will be all over with. Malibu is not dumb, they need their customers serviced in the area, even if it is from people that are as unprofessional as yourself.

So state the facts.. people are here. I'm here.. laughing, because you don't have a clue.. and after the lame case is dropped, everyone will know and I will post the outcome here.

The Truth and Facts in

We typically do not rebuttal these type of ridiculous accusations but since we know the identity behind the e-mail Flwpower who wrote the report it comes to us as no surprise. Due to the power of the internet people such as Flwpower can voice false statements against others but we must keep in mind that there are always two sides to a story.
This individual (Flwpower) currently has an ongoing criminal investigation with the Brookfield Police Department for fraud. If convicted he can face ip to 5 years imprisonment. This is obviously a CRIMINAL investigation not a CIVIL matter. Therefore there must be probable cause and substantial damaging evidence to proceed. Xtreme Marine is a boat dealership and has the right as any other tax payer in Brookfield to be protected by the law when crimes are committed against it.
Flwpower purchased his Malibu LSV boat in 2005 before Xtreme Marine ever even existed from a company named EastCoast FlightCraft. This company is completly separate from Xtreme Marine. Xtreme Marine always has been and still is a Malibu servicing dealer (to confirm call Malibu Boats directly located in California).
This entire claim of "Xtreme Marine being Deceptive and Untrustworthy" created by Flwpower all boils down to the fact of the matter that he defrauded Xtreme Marine. He is obviously upset by the fact that he was caught and is currently facing criminal prosectution. It is a shame that Flwpower must resort to tactics such as verbal attacks to attempt to discredit others. Xtreme Marine chooses to just state the facts because we are a very reputable business and would not stoop to such a level resorting to slander and such unprofessionalism.
