Complaint Review: Xupiter.com

Xupiter.com Total Ripoff and Dangerous to PC Health.

I can't imagine how much destruction this company has caused. I read the other report issued on this commany in RipOffReport where it took him 7 hours to straighten up the damage that this company caused. I just spend an hour and a half fixing my PC and I used to work on PCs for a living.

I also agree with his statement- CLASS ACTION SUIT.

The company manages to get its software installed on the unsuspecting consumer while he/she is working in a browser. I saw the download window popup and I knew I didn't request a download, but Xupiter, I guess, believes that everyone should have it's homepage and search engine. So much so that I couldn't change the search engine, couldn't get into Internet Tools to remove any cookie that may have been installed and my PC was blowing up after being on it only a few minutes.

I don't know what to say to a person that has experienced this problem with a limited knowledge of how a PC works. Hopefully they are able to reinstall the system to correct it. I'm sure many have ended up taking their machines back to their vendor to fix. AT WHAT COST XUPITER!!!!

The only consolation I have is that I plan on networking my house over the next few weeks. Guess who's going to get firewalled first- XUPITER.

I'm teed off. I wouldn't even load their site up to complain since I'm sure the site is set up to force a download the minute you hit it.

I'm trying to run a business here and I'm not a happy camper at this point. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE STOPPED. I CAN"T BELIEVE THAT THE OTHER FELLOW REPORTED THEM OVER A MONTH AGO AND THEIR STILL DOING BUSINESS AS USUAL. Perhaps my lawyer can deal with them.

I hope there are plenty of people out there that read this site. I know it's become my first stop when I question a business, especially before I get involved with them
