When is it a appropriate for a company to sell a gallon for paint or sealer for $398.00 per gallon?

This is my story:

Xylexin manufactures claim that their coating is the hardest, toughest, and best coating on the planet, also backed with a 20 year warranty - "full replacement".

After my contractor sold me on this spectacular Idea, which I paid the big money for my multi million dollar home to be coated top to bottom. My pool deck, and garage floor immediately fell apart, stained, and scratch off with my finger nail. I called my contractor with this bad news. He said he would check with the manufacture.

1 year later, with no call backs and my house falling appart I finally made a contact at Xylexin. The owner tells me the reason his "liquid gold" failed due to an applicator error. I asked what the manufacture was going to do.... he said "Not one thing!" After $tens of thousands of dollars and a coating that de-vauled my home I started looking around town talking to contractors about Xylexin. Every contractor or tile store said they had never heard about it. Finally I found a store that actually knew something about this coating and the lady at the counter said that a $60.00 gallon of a high quality sealer from her tile store would have lasted longer! My stomach dropped!

I began to call different Xylexin listings online to see what other information I could gather. Most of the listings dont even exist. I called Shield Master a licensed distributor and no persons answered the phone. I called doorbell expresions and that guy said he to had lots of problems with his customers having Xylexin failures. I also called some printing companies that said they had been screwed by the owners too.

Realizing that I have been screwed I started calling contractors who could remove the "worlds best coating". Contractor after Contractor who came to bid the project said they have heard of other horror stories about Xylexin.
$398.00 per gallon worth it? I wish I had not become a victim!
Thanks Xylexin!

Xylexin is a superior coating!

This gentleman, unfortunately, was ripped off by the contractor...not Mirage Products.

I am a certified Xylexin Technician and I have applied xylexin on many State and federal jobsites.  My reference list is long and satisfactory.  I can assure everyone that Xylexin when applied properly cannot be scratched with a fingernail.  There are also different preparations for different surfaces so if someone trained to apply Xylexin on ceramic tile thinks he is qualified to apply Xlexin on anything is sadly mistaken.  Training is required for each individual surface and Mirage Products provides free sampling and testing to be sure the applications are correct. I have witnessed the Xylexin Team travel thousands of miles to be sure Xylexin is being applied properly. I have also seen everything from metal signs to ceramic tile to chucks of coated concrete shipped as samples before applications were applied.  All at Mirage Products exspense.

Xylexin is not a product that can be bought with directions and applied by anyone, it takes training!

So if you are going to use Xylexin's Superior Protection for your home or business, be sure you check the qualifications of the applicator first.  If not you may end up "Ripped off" like this gentleman here.

No manufacturer honors warranty's on products that have been applied or installed incorrectly.

I sympathize with this gentleman because it is like pulling teeth to get a contractor to correct poor workmanship of this magnitude.  It's always easier to blame the manufacturer than to honor a labor warranty which is a standard 2 year warranty on Xylexin applications.

If you would like proof take some time to look at the many satisfied Businesses, Homeowner's, Hospitals, Schools, Temples and other structures/ establisnments that are 100% satisfied with Xylexin's properly applied superior protection!

After reading the accusations about Xylexin Products I felt it necessary to respond to Shield Masters involvement in the complaint.

Shield Master is an authorized distributor for Xylexin Products. Punjabi reported that Shield Master was in some way involved and responsible for the product failure by not answering their phone. Although we have a staff secretary on the phones throughout most of the day, it appears that our phone was not manned when his call came. Punjabi is welcome to call at any time and we will answer his questions as best we can.

Shield Master had no involvement whatsoever in selling or applying Xylexin to Punjabi home.

As far as Doorbell Expressions dissatisfaction, we have not had ANY complaints from the company owner for unsatisfied customers that have not been resolved. Any and all warranty issues associated with Xylexin and Shield Master have been promptly delt with.

Xylexin is a heavy industrial hybrid epoxy that requires specific training for application. Not all users of Xylexin products have been certified to apply. Because of this lack of training, there have been product failures. With proper training, we have experienced very few product falures.

As far as the product pricing, the asserted pricing of $389.00 is not within Shield Masters pricing structure. In fact, pricing is normally $89.00 to $100.00 less than what has been stated.

All claims from punjabi are unsubstantiated and do not involve Shield Master nor do they reflect our business practices.
