Complaint Review: Y-Fusean - Sean Alvardo - Elizabeth Pacheco

I was hired by Y Fusean (Elizabeth Pacheco and Sean Alvarado) in July 2006 to provide graphic design for the Y Fusean business card and brochure, as well as to make energy drink labels for their clients, including: Dublin 6, IFH/Mofongo, Discover TV, and Trinity Place. I had them sign a design contract (which they did) and I got one small check from them for the first quick project I did.

After that, I did rush work for them totalling $1500 and got nothing, despite continuous phone calls to them. They made constant excuses of "the check is in the mail" variety.

I filed a claim in NY Small Claims court against Y Fusean and Sean Alvarado in November 2006. When the date of the hearing came, I was there. They were not. I have email records and records of our phone conversations, as well as the proof that I did the design work I was contracted to do. I won the judgment, and the court of NY sent them a letter saying they owed me was sent. I have STILL not been paid, and don't expect they will ever be held accountable.

These people are liars and thieves. Their company is a scam. DO NOT, under any circumstances, work with them. If you meet them in person, report them to the authorities!
