Complaint Review: Yacht Brasil USA

YachtBrasil Motor Boats & Charters, LLC (YachtBrasil)(whose managers are Aderbal and Lysandra Coelho) directly sold to Mr. Joshua Bruno through his Corporation a USED motor yacht (see add for sale) on May 23, 2014. Mr. Bruno was able to purchase this vessel at a discounted price from YachtBrasil directly being that YachtBrasil had to purchase the vessel from its prior owner’s when Mr. Bruno provided fraudulent copies of escrow checks to a title agent which did not exist and was unable to close on the purchase of the vessel. Thereafter, Mr. Bruno purchased the vessel for $450,000.00 (see redacted contract), after bouncing his deposit checks (see returned checks and notice from Bank of America). Shortly thereafter Mr. Bruno attempted to sell the used vessel representing it as having one prior owner (when Mr. Bruno was the third owner) for a substantially inflated price of (See ad for sale). Mr. Bruno’s complaint with the State of Florida was dismissed (See letter of dismissal from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation) due to his false allegations that YachtBrasil acted as the broker in his purchase of the vessel. Currently YachtBrasil and its principals are pursuing a lawsuit against Mr. Bruno for failure to pay bills related to his vessel, removing his vessel illegally from YachtBrasil’s dockage, defamation, injunctive relief, tortious interference with a business relationship, tortious interference with potential and present clients, and intentional infliction of emotional distress (see pending lawsuit). After months of eluding service of YachtBrasil’s Complaint Mr. Bruno was caught while fleeing a process server in downtown Miami.

Bruno: Aderbal Coelho Junior, Lysandra Coelho, Eduardo Cury, Solange Brodsky, Piter Barros and their company Yacht Brasil USA have conspired to rip off countless boat owners, and buyers in the south Florida boating market. They have systematically inflated bills for work not required, nor repaired, installed used parts but charged customers for new items, installed faulty equipment and failed to complete the project but claimed work was done and billed clients. Upon arrival and inspection there were countless excuses of why work wasnt compelted and swore up and down it would be done. Months and months have gone by and NO work has been completed, equipment wasnt replaced, and mangement and ownership had nothing but lies when confronted.

Response: Mr. Bruno refers to a conspiracy to ripoff boat owners without any proof of such or examples of other persons who were negatively affected. Further, Mr. Bruno’s vessel has been seized by YachtBrasil for failure to pay his outstanding vessel repair invoices and invoices for the boats lift he rented from YachtBrasil (See copy of lawsuit). Further, when Mr. Bruno’s vessel was immobilized for failure to pay for its dockage, Mr. Bruno in the middle of the night removed his vessel from the Miami Beach Marina without paying his outstanding bills (See police report and Marina Report Bates 166-177).   

Bruno: I historically left keys on the boat in a lock box so their mechanics could "fix" items on this brand-new boat I found my hours were higher upon returning to town than when I left... they claimed it was due to testing. After this occured 3x I installed a gps and monitored the boat, we found that they were CHARTERING boat and charging customers illegally with my own boat.

Response: Mr. Bruno once again refers to his used vessel as brand new and provides no support for his allegations. After Mr. Bruno’s vessel was arrested for failure to pay for his dockage, Mr. Bruno once again claimed YachtBrasil chartered his vessel despite its being nearly inoperable due to lack of maintenance provided by Mr. Bruno (See Sea Tow invoice)

Bruno: We have since filed complaints with the state of Florida and currently filing suit for damages.

Response: Mr. Bruno’s complaint with the State of Florida was dismissed (See letter of dismissal from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation) due to his false allegations that YachtBrasil acted as the broker in his purchase of the vessel. When in fact YachtBrasil had to purchase the vessel from its prior owner to honor their commitment when Mr. Bruno failed to close on the purchase of the vessel. In 2016 while Mr. Bruno was suing YachtBrasil asserting the vessel had hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage. Mr. Bruno was selling the vessel for $499,000.00 (two years after its purchase) and significant use for more than he purchased it.

Mr. Bruno has engaged in a massive campaign of defamation and other activities against YachtBrasil. YachtBrasil and its principals have sued Mr. Bruno for defamation, injunctive relief, tortious interference with a business relationship, tortious interference with potential and present clients, and intentional infliction of emotional distress (see pending lawsuit).
