I live on Hayden Island and I came across what looked like a reputable company that dealt with the sale of boats. I let them talk me into putting my '91 Bayliner in their auction they held here on the island (over 2 months ago). It sold right away but they've been putting me off for payment. I just learned that they have now filed for bankruptcy.

I was told to talk to an attorney in Gresham if I wanted payment (they owe me a minimum of $6k). Boat was advertised for $9,995 and they wouldn't tell me what it sold for. Please see the attached note to their lawyer. I have not yet received a response back from him. Looks like I may need to hire a lawyer myself.
Thank you.

Subject: Overdue payment on '91 Bayliner Date: Tue, 14 Nov 2006
To: Rick Franklin; Gresham Law

Dear Rick:
Please confirm this is indeed your business e-mail address. I am inquiring about our past due payment on the '91 Bayliner. This item was sold in an auction that the Yacht Spot held over a month ago. Please explain what the delay is and when payment will be made. Also, please advise if I need to hire an attorney for this matter.

Thank you,

Donald
