I paid ten dollars for a domain at Yahoo. A friend of mine designed the website for me and offered free web hosting. He e-mailed me the name servers which I e-mailed to Yahoo.

Yahoo never gave me my domain. I sent numerous e-mails to customer service. I did not receive competent replies or any amount of assistance.

I reported Yahoo to the BBB. A Yahoo small business associate called me and asked if I wanted a refund or if I wanted a domain. I said I wanted a domain because that was what I paid for. I was given a domain for a porn website. My website had nothing to do with pornography. It was a website for my poetry zine.

I called Yahoo customer service. The rep I spoke with lacked empathy, concern and competence. He was a bumbling idiot. He put me on hold twice. I finally hung up in disgust.

To date, Yahoo has not issued a refund. I finally asked my friend to pull the plug on the website. I will never do "business" with Yahoo again.
