Complaint Review: YBuy

Last November I went to one of our local Cricket Stores and was approved to buy a Samsung Admire Phone which was financed by YBuy. While I was made aware of the necessity of paying off my bill in 90 days inorder to not pay any finance charge it was my understanding like with most companies that once I had paid the upfront payment that my bill would then be split into three equal payments and would be paid within the 90 day pearios. YBuy is a complete SCAM in that insetad of breaking the bill into three equal payments and so that it will be paid off withing the 90 day perios they make the payments not equal to the full bill...WHICH WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO ME AT THE TIME OF THE PURCHASE. This meant that my bill was not paid within the 90 day intrest free period.

Because the bill was not paid off in the 90 day period instead of justg charging me for the remaining ballance and charging intrest on that portion of my bill they put me back essentually to ZRRO and started making me pay intrest on the whole amount of the phone. In addition to this they were only crediting me for half of every payment that was debited from my bank. Before last monts payment I was told that my payoff balance was $38 and change...now when I called in for my payoff balance I was told that my bill had increased to over $60 and would likely go up even more before I can make my next payment on the 25th.. Their intrest is sure USURY. My advice to anyone is that if you have to deal with this company either MAKE SURE THAT YOU PAY OFF YOUR BALANCE WITHIN THE 90 DAYS....OR DON'T DEAL WITH THEM AT ALL!
