I pay my phone bill online and in fact, have set up automatic deductions from my checking account.  I recently received a letter stating my payment was delinquent and they shut my phone off.  Frustrated, I started digging in to the process to make sure I set it up correctly etc and then I started looking at my online phone bill.  This is when I noticed a third party provider billing from ILD Teleservices, Inc. for $16.04 a month starting January 2011.  It is now June 2011.

I found a number for ILD Teleservices, which actually is routed to a YCP Network.  800-433-4518.  I was told this was a fax service attached to my phone so I wouldn't require a physical fax machine in my home.  With my cell phone as my primary phone, I barely want the landline, do you think I want a fax as well?  They told me I signed up for it but wouldn't tell me where I signed up for it or give me any information about what I agreed to.

YCP Network agreed to cancel the service and would only reimburse me for the current billing.  Now I need to talk to my phone company to see if they will reimburse me for more.

Honestly, this is a total scam via the internet.  Be careful in checking out websites or signing up for websites because they take your information and this is exactly what happens.  It happened with me when I placed a JcPenny order and clicked on a link to "save 10% more on my order".  In order to save, I had to agree to a bunch of other websites that I didn't want.  Even though I stopped, they still had my information.
