Yellow Pages Directories Sent me a free web listing correction. I thought it was free. I received a bill 1 month later for $298. I paid it. I thought it was for a full year. Now 6 months later, I receive another bill for $298. When I call to inquire and cancel, they won't let me. I checked the YP website. The entered my info wrong. The correct info is the info I did by myself a year ago. This is a total scam. Irving TX
In August 2013, I received a form in the mail indicating THIS WAS NOT A BILL, but needed corrections for online directory. I filled it out and sent it back. 1 month later, I receive a bill for $298.00. I tried to call customer service several times, but just sat on hold for long periods of time.
Finally, I decided, I would like to have my listing in Yellow Pages Directory, and it looked like it was for 1 year adverstising so I sent a check for $298 in Sept 2013.
In Feb 2014, I receive another bill for $298. I called customer service several times. Wait was too long and I hung up. I decided to ignore the bill, as it must be a mistake.
Now in March, I receive another bill for $298 + $30 late charge. I call customer service, this time I get a person. I explain the situation, and I am told that they can waive the $30 late charge, but not the $298 bill. I explain that this all started as a free listing, now it's costing me $600. Person said, terms are clearly written on the back of the invoice.
I asked to talk to a Supervisor. Transferred to an voicemail box.
I have called back 3 days in a row, each time same thing, transferred to a voice mail box when I try to talk to a supervisor.
Today, I decided to check on the final listing in the directory. I found out that the original online free listing that I created over a year ago, is still there and correct. The listing that they entered for $298 is wrong.
