Yellow Pages ripoff, due to improper billing and Marketing Anaheim California
This Company Markets by sending Letters with checks attached. Then they do not bill you for the service until after 30 days.
The check is for only $3.49, they bill you for $179.00.
The $3.49 was mixed up with some other checks from the Phone company and was accidently signed and returned to Yellow Pages Inc. That would have been fine if they would have notified me within the 30 days, but they waited until the end of the 30 days to send it so it was received by Curry X-ray Inc after the 30 days.
Curry X-ray Inc repeatedly tried to contact them by phone, the phone was always busy or would give message that they would return the call, they never returned the calls. Contact by phone was made after many tries.
The person was very arrogant, uncooperopertive, and hang-up on me. Another call was made the next day and I reached a person by the name of Heather.
Heather listened to my story and finally agreed to let me send the $3.49 to them and their Company would drop the charges,Cancelling the Subscription. Yellow Pages also requested a Letter from Curry X-ray Inc describing our conversation on the phone, which was done.
Approximately one mouth after this was done, I received a call from a collection agency, that the bill had been turned over to them for collection
Curry X-ray Inc was in business 30+ years. The business is now retired and has no need for this service.When a customer did not need or purchased an item by mistake, it was cancelled.
This Company (Yellow Pages, Inc)thives on this kind of doing business and is a Rip-Off to all honest businesses.
One more thing, Yellow Pages never did cash my check,and the fact that it was turned over to a Collection Agency proves it.

To add to the above,it has been found that Yellow Pages, Inc is not listed in any of the Phone Directories and their phone number can not be obtained from either "Area Code" or "1-800" Information Operators.
They also have no physical address only a PO Box number.
Yellow Pages, Inc also has complaints against them with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerence.
Do not get involved with this Company, they are out do damage to anyone, just for a Buck.

Have seen that ripoff for years. IF you deposit their check for $1,2, or 3 and change you are on the hook for some unknown "yellow" pages add for the next year for a couple of hundred dollars. The fine print is on the back of the check that says"if you endorse and deposit this check, you agree.....". Watch out for them. They have nothing to do with the other yellow pages. What are we up to now, 5 different yellow pages?
