In dealing with the public, sometimes a would-be patron is undesirable i.e. he wants unreasonable service, or wants the service or product at a price that is unprofitable for the business. In these cases, the business (service- or product-provider), has the right to terminate the phone call, in-person visit, or the contract, written or oral.

Unfortunately, sometimes the "dismissed", would-be patron feels offended. Maybe the business wasn't sufficiently diplomatic in its retreat. It might be that the would-be patron perceived the dismissal with exaggerated sensitivity.

Unfortunately, sometimes these persons are vindictive and act on their egotistical emotion by entering a derogatory critique of the business.

Unfairly, in my opinion, Yelp displays these critiques–––those that have been entered by vindictive persons who haven't actually hired or used the business.

Also, Yelp unfairly controls critiques. It obscures some of them by placing them in a "Not Recommended" list. In my case, they placed eleven in this category: three negative, and eight positive. Their explanation for the Not Recommended placing is that some "reviews" are unworthy for various reasons, including suspected solicitation of critiques by the business.

Surely, and unfortunately, solicitation happens. In my case, Yelp has deemed the eleven critiques as unworthy, but not one of them was solicited; they all are real!
