Yet another Discovery Cameras tale of woe

Based on an order placed on Monday, 21 January and not yet received, I think this company gives shoddy service and treats customers with contempt.

On this single order for a tape recorder and several accessories: they have charged my credit card though the order was not shipped; they double-charged sales tax; the salesman gave me an extension that was not valid and, when questioned about it, failed to supply a valid one; the sales staff refused to supply a FAX, e-mail, or mailing address for me to send a letter; customer service and sales staff hung up on me several times; people there repeatedly promised to call back and then failed to do so; they have promised shipment and then come up with excuses (They can't ship, but they sure can collect for what they didn't ship.).

This is a company I would not deal with again, nor would I recommend that anyone deal with them. They have lied, failed to keep even simple commitments, failed to charge the price we agreed upon, and in general treated me with contempt.
