Yodle Yodle illegally uses photographers work in their templates from stock photo sites Internet

One of Yodle's services is website templates, which from what I understand cost between $825-1400 per month. Seems like they have many customers! But this money is partially stolen from photographers like me.

Yodle is using some photographs I have taken licensed to stock photography agencies. None of these agencies allow photographs to be used in templates as they are essentially re-selling my work and voiding an agreement between the stock agencies and myself. For templates they must pay an exclusive use fee and other royalties.

I can't comment on Yodle's services, customer service, or success but I can say they are essentially stealing from stock agencies and photographers for their own profit.

To make this right, they need to audit and pay for all photography used ASAP. This is past the need for a lawsuit.

Hi Sarah – My name is Syvenna Siebert, and I’m the public relations manager at Yodle. I read your review and wanted to address your concerns and a clarify a number of items. First and foremost, I’m not sure what gave you the impression that we are stealing money from photographers but that is categorically untrue. We do incorporate stock images in some of our websites, but have an agreement with a reputable stock photo agency to license any photos we use. Please be assured that we have rights to all images used on our clients’ websites, and would not engage in a practice where this wasn’t the case. Furthermore, we do not provide website templates. We create and fully complete websites for our local business clients, which is just one part of our comprehensive suite of online marketing offerings.

I wanted to also clarify our pricing structure because the information you’ve listed in your post is inaccurate. The cost of our offerings can vary depending on a client’s paid search advertising budget (assuming they choose to buy that part of our platform) but the price of Marketing Essentials, our flagship product, is significantly less than what you’ve outlined.
