Complaint Review: YOUNG MASONRY LLC

Do not do business with Les Young Jr, His Company is Young Masonry LLC and his website is www.masonrymi.com. He is a featured contractor on Yellowpages.com. I called him and he came out and gave me a quote on some brick work and a cement patio pad. He told me that he would email me a quote with his insurance also. He did do that and I got with him later in the week and said he needed a deposit, ok no problem he was there within a couple hours to pick one up for $2000.He said he would start the job Thursday. He didn’t show up Thursday or Friday and his guys finally came on Saturday, Sunday a no show on Monday and was told that Monday the Patio was going to get poured. Didn’t happen at this point we confronted him and he guaranteed to have the job wrapped up Thursday afternoon. At this point we have heard every excuse in the book. His guys were here Tuesday and Wednesday working. There was a total of 12 brick columns and a 32x24 patio that was going to be poured, at this point there was maybe 4 columns done. Now the strange thing is ABCO Heating, Cooling & Chimney Service, Inc vans were being driven to my residence daily and the workers that were there said they were merging companies together. I don’t know what company these employees worked for though, either Abco or Les Young Masonry llc. Ok so now on Thursday ABCO Heating, Cooling & Chimney Service, Inc employee showed up and started removing equipment from the site. They basically took everything that was there and when I asked he said his boss told him to remove the equipment from the job. I called ABCO Heating, Cooling & Chimney Service, Inc and the office manager told me immediately the first thing out of her mouth was if you have any issues i need to contact Les YOUNG Masony llc, they are not affiliated with this company so I asked why were their vans at my house she said that they lend equipment and employees out. At this point I’m getting every lie in the book from Les saying that ABCO Heating, Cooling & Chimney Service, Inc bought his company and all jobs belonged to Abco and the stole all his jobs and so on. Then I got a call back from A guy from Abco saying that all the materials were bought on his account by Les. Their is some kind of realtionship here with Abco and Les Young Masonry but nobody wanted to accept any responsibility for the actions. I paid the deposit to Les Young Masonry and not Abco to be clear. So then I get ahold of Les and I told him that he was fired and I wanted $500 OF the money back, he told me that he would get a itemized list of the materials used and would get me some money back still giving me every excuse in the book. I have never seen any money back from him like he told me multiple time he would stop by and has never done so. Just to be clear of the 4 days that they were working here Les was here maybe 2 hours total. This guy is not capable of doing these job and never had any intention of finishing the job. I had talked with several places and this is the normal for him to do, gets the deposit shows up and does poor work or doesn’t finish the job. This guy is a crook and scammer and stay away from him and his company and ABCO Heating, Cooling & Chimney Service, Inc.
