Your Real Estate Today Stephen Edwards, The insider's Financial SCAM!! Scheme to get you to invest more, than more. Nationwide
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! The people of "Your Real Estate Today" are not only liars, but scam artists. My husband and I were conned out of $1,997 to attend their 3 day seminar. We felt like idiots for getting taken advantage of once we realized on the second day of the event that it was nothing more than a scheme to get you to invest in "further education" at costs from $19k to $40k for various packages. We put it all together on the second day. On the first day we were asked to make calls to round up all available funds for the purpose of investing in Real Estate. Come later to find out this was actually a manipulation to extort the funds from us. On the first day Stephen Edwards, the paid and very good I might add, event speaker, asked all of us to “show commitment and take action” by calling our credit card companies to up our limits and then also to call new cc companies to obtain new cards (which they provided the phone numbers for of course). Not only were we asked to call cc companies, but also asked to check fund amounts in our 401k's, life Insurance Policies, IRA's and call banks to obtain small business loans. On the evening of the second day, when we were highly pressured just hand over these funds for more training. We figured out the whole scam and tried to warn the rest of the group to “see the light” but didn’t get a chance, the moment we starting talking to the first person, we were immediately escorted out of the building. We were told we were being negative and escorted out. The speaker was so good others looked like they were in a trance of believing every work he said. We later found when leaving the hotel by speaking to another student that we were slammed and it was told to the rest of the group that we were just afraid and not willing to seek a better future for ourselves. Another manipulative tactic we realized was that we were instructed NOT to ask any questions or speak to others as it is disruptive to others and that there would be time for questions and answers and to share with others later, later never came, no time for questions was ever provided. The speaker was Stephen Edwards. We researched and found out he is a paid motivational speaker, not a real estate investor. Stephen had us change tables every few hours to "meet new people.” So let me get this right, we need to meet others, but not talk to them. He stated that if we talk to others and they influence us with negativity it could affect our ability to succeed. No, we were asked to change tables to keep us away from the same people so we could not compare notes. We were not given enough time during breaks to talk to others either. We are so grateful we caught on, but felt for the others.
Also, after being asked to simply hand over our life savings on the second day with a promise that we could not possibly fail with them and this is the best decision or our lives, my husband and I researched online and found that this company "Your Real Estate Today" is also linked to many, many other company names. They appear to go from city to city like predatory vultures and just keep changing their company name to avoid the bad reviews under their previous names. The best we can tell from researching these people "Your Real Estate Today" is linked, or perhaps previously gone by "Insider's Financial" "Insider's Edge" "Insider's Financial" “The Inner Circle” and also Scott of the TV show "Flipping Las Vegas" They actually make quite a big deal that they are the people from the Scott group to build trust. Well if these people are on TV they must be trustworthy! Please people, do not be fooled, seduced, scammed etc.
I suspect this comment will be removed very soon as these people are very good. But hopefully this information will reach the people of Springfield, Boise and Indianapolis, their next targeted cities to prey upon, according to their website "yourrealestatetoday.com" before they invest for the 3 day event, or any other "further education." I would also like to add that the two days we did attend of the three day seminar were a joke. All the examples of deals and their numbers were flown by so quickly you couldn’t catch any of it let alone write it down. It was clear to us that this tactic of keeping you confused, so you feel the NEED further information to succeed, was a teaser method I think it can be called; tease and confuse. This method of keeping you confused is to brainwash you to feel that investing 20K or 40K on your "further education" is necessary and mandatory for you to acquire wealth. We were even told on the second day that "we could not be taught everything in three days" right before the big bang of the cost of the additional classes were revealed. So instead of actually teaching us Real Estate Investing, they spent at least 4 hours telling us about the classes and trying to connive us to pay for them with high pressure, high energy methods. Yes, we are upset and somewhat bitter that we were conned, but we have no one to blame but ourselves. I wall say in our defense though the revealing of the company name of Inside's Financial was only once ever shown in very, very tiny print on the sign-up sheet for the additional classes. Once we researched Insider's Financial we were better able to put the pieces together from there.
If you are in Springfield, Boise or Indianapolis or any other cities that they are planning on attacking next I hope you find this blog. The cities are posted on their website “yourrealestatetoday.com.”
