Your Way Moving Topeka KS D'Andre Robinson, Roger Jones, Josh??? Ripoff - Breach of Contract - Holds personal items for ransome Topeka Kansas
Receive written estimate to move mother from Missouri to Tennesse for $2.1K. D'Andre arrives on-site and increases the estimate to $4.5K and two trucks. Too much...Agreed and signed contract for $3K to pack remaining items and move everything.
D"Andre Robinson arrives on Friday to load. He brings one 28ft truck - no boxing or packing just loads what he can fit into the truck and leaves the rest. Pay 1K down to D'Andre. Agreement was to arrive in Tennesse Tuesday to unload. Needed to clean and turn old house over to realator. Since D'Andre left many tools behind - had to rent an additional 18' truck and tow car to Tennesse with remaining items. (note: $450.00 total for gas)
Saturay receive call from D'Andre saying ran out of money and needed more. Repeated calls over the weekend. Receive a call Monday saying they are in Paducah KY and don't have money for gas to Tennessee - their office can't send them any. Tell them we are in route and will pay them when they get to Tennessee, as agreed.
Tuesday morning when they don't arrive - call their office in Topeka - Talk to Josh. He says they need more money and I need to send it to them. I ask why - I gave them money upfront - why doesn't their office pay their drivers expenses - they say they don't mix money on moves and they ran out on the way. He then proceeds to tell me that they had additional costs having to wait two days in hotel to deliver on Tuesday. Agreement was always to deliver on Tuesday. After words with Josh - I call D'Andre to find out exactly where they are and tell him to have the gas station attendent call me and I would pay to fill the truck. I also called Paducah PD after this and the officer said he would call me if the truck was at the designated gas station. No call back from PD....
I called main office - Josh informs me that the Owner (Roger Jones) is out of town and says that the truck is being returned to Kanasas and that I will have to pay an additional $1.5K to have it deivered after Thansgiving. If I do not pay- he said they have the right to acution off our items. This is what the owner told him to do. I told him that I had previously agreed to fill the truck for D'Andre and why does he not drive the remaining 5 hours and complete the contract. He says it will cost me another $500 to turn him around. I restate that we paid 1/3 upfront, per the agreement, and that he was to deliver today. He stated that we are changing the dates and they have additional cost and we are refusing to pay. I said I'm not refusing to pay and that he should complete the delivery per the agreend price. He then said - he will see me in court and hung up. I called back - restated our positon and that we fulfilled our part of the contract - he said I have no choice but to have the truck deliver after Thanksgiving and pay the additional amounts - or I'll see you in court - if you don't pay, I'll sell your stuff.
This company and these individuals are ripping me off. They do not complete their contract - jack up their prices - hold your personal items for ransom. I now have to pay legal fees to get my items returned - I can only hope that I see them again. They lie - they took my mom's stuff - do not trust them - they are crooks.
I will update this report as additional information bevomes avaiable and until it is resolved.

Josh from the main office called this morning 11/27/13 demanding the full amount plus their extra charges be wired to them in advance before they would deliver. They truly are Scam artists.
Through some research, I have also found out that they are not registered with the state of KS as a legal business. They also violated interstate commerece laws by quoting and transporting the items by cu/ft rather than weight.
