I never received the promised $50 Best Buy Gift Card, despite several emails from Member Services (Jess)at YourGiftCards.com. I have reported them to the BBB, attorney generals office and to American Express. Do not fall for these free gift card promises.

call Amex and tell them you want to cancel the card

Use your head - call Amex and tell them you want to cancel the card. First thing they do is ask why. Then you tell them you never received your shopping card. Bet you get your card then. I recently made an electronic bill pay that didn't go through and two of my accounts were late, Sam's Club and The GM card. Neither one of them contacted me and I did not know till following month and was assessed late charges by both. I called and explained to no avail. Called back and said to cancel the card and they both caved in and removed the late charges. Can't hurt you to try it. If you got the card your credit must be good so it might work for you.
