My wife was responding to an advertisement offering a 30 day "trial" of the product for $7.19.
I was checking our visa charges and found 3 separate ones for Youth Nutrition in the amount of$.99, $6.24 and $100.99. all on Feb 26,2011.
We called the company and inquired about this. MY WIFE WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE SHE DID NOT RESPOND TO THE 3 DAY TRIAL OFFER IN 3 DAYS OF BEING SENT THE E-MAIL THAT IT WAS PRESUMED SHE WANTED A FULL MEMBERSHIP AND HENCE THE $100 CHARGE!
We called Visa and were told to call back the company and cancel enrollment.
Visa would not allow any further charges.
Wife called the company and got a royal run around with finally after 3 calls receiving a confirmation number from somewhere in north america.
Just to be sure we reported her Visa as lost and are getting a new number issued.
Beware of these scams!!!
