Complaint Review: ypedia

Ypedia, Yellow Page Services and David and Jones are all one company that tries to make you believe you signed a form updating your business listing.   Then you receive an invoice for hundreds of dollars.   When you don't pay it davis and jones steps in.....

I googled their address and found a janatorial service there, I hit redial and received a nursing home which they blamed on their switchboard.   I'm sorry but switchboards do not use someone else's number like a nursing home.  Well obviously i was suspicious....I called the Attorney General's office in Texas with their address and info and they said that David and Jones is NOT located in Texas, this is a fraud, do not pay it and when i mentionned they had an account number for me the woman vehemently said "you do not have an account with this company, it is a fraud, and do not pay them anything."   Just to top it off i called them after hours and the voicemail says "you have reached the general mailbox please leave a message".   Any legitimate business would say someting like "You have reached Davis and Jones, leave a message and we will call you back during regular business hours".

 I have also filed a report with the FTC and BBB.   Please do not feel threatened to pay them and if there is anyway to contact me for more information on how to deal with them, please free.  Also the FTC and Attorney General will both tell you not to pay them.
