YRC Freight They profit on losing your shipment Nationwide
We contracted YRC to ship tradeshow goods to a convention center in Seattle. We are a technology company and shipped 2 4k TVs and 3 retina iMacs as well as our tradeshow exhibit. On the return shipment to Dallas, the driver reported that they were short our TVs and iMacs and informed us that they would be coming later....
2 weeks later, we received nothing. I will spare you the drama it took to get them to acknowledge that they lost our shipment (It was a 3 month ordeal), but the long story short is that they limited their liability in this shipment to $200!!! They lost (or stole) $7k worth of electronics and offered us $200 in return. I couldn't believe it! We paid $4,000 for the shipping and they wouldn't even refund the shipping amount for items they lost or stole.
They limit their liability to $.50 per pound. They charge $4.00 per pound for shipping. You do the math. It is in their best interest to 'lose' items.
These people are criminals and I would never trust them again.
