On Friday, February 10, 2010, at approximately 2:00pm, my husband, a Latino man, was parked at the Lucky's Market in Hercules, Ca.  A man parked directly across from him, exited his grey car, and approached our truck, asking if my husband could speak Italian or English.  He replied that his first language was Spanish, but the man continued with his story, and clearly made himself understood.

He explained that he was from Italy, and had lost all of his money at the local casino, but needed to pay for his rental car, for which he produced a receipt. He also stated that he needed to catch his flight back to Italy, and wouldn't make it unless he had some help.  He was seeking $400. in cash, and wanted to trade "leather" jackets for this favor.  My husband took pity on him and gave his the $135.00 he had in his wallet.  The man in turn gave him 4 jackets and a business card and left quickly.

We looked up the man's name, Z. Rafaelle on the internet, and found a previous complaint for 2 1/2 years ago near San Diego with nearly exactly the same strange circumstances!
