Z-Tel Communications, Inc ripoff! Tampa Florida
In Dec 2003 I change my local phone service only to Z-Tel Communications, Inc. I run my own business so I had three lines that needed to be changed. They only changed one line. I called, and I called, and was assured each time that all three lines have been switched.
Meantime, I am still receiving a phone bill from Southwestern Bell for the other 2 lines, have spoke with their representive and have been told that Z-Tel didn't switch but one line, so I keep calling Z-Tel they deep assuring me that all 3 lines have been switched, so I tell Southwestern Bell I don't owe them anything. Now I only have one line thanks to Z-Tel.
About 2 months after I have switched to Z-Tel I start getting bills from Z-Tel for my long distance service, so I call or try to call, they are always having technical diffculties, you can't ever talk to anyone, during the daytime, so I take the bill with their phone number home with me and call them at about 9 pm at night, to talk to someone about this problem with long distance.
They were not my long distance carrier, so they tell me I need to fax in copies of my bill from my long distance carrier and that they will listen to the phone recording from when I switched company's. (I told them that was fine, because I knew I had not switched my long distance carrier). Then they would be contacting me, well here I sit with another bill from Z-Tel and Sprint (my long distance carrier from the begining) and I still can't reach Z-Tel, still technical diffculties. They should not be allow to offer a service, if they are not going to be available to help theirs clients.
