December 17, 2001

I called Z-Tel to find out about their rates that were advertised on television. I ask what it cover. I was told the unlimited calling package was $39.95 I think. I ask about the lower price plan from television. I was told I could make 600 local calls. Not realizing that meant the call could only last 1 minute.

On or around February 1, 2002

Since, I don't make that many calls, but use my computer dial up modemn to get on line. When I received my second full bill that was charge to my credit card it was around $84.00. I called Z-Tel and was told that the way it is.
After I hung up with Z-Tel I called SBC Ameritech and begged them to take me back.
Well, I stayed off the computer and waited till I was no longer part of Z-Tel's unhappy family.

February 4, 2002

Freedom from Z-Tele I think.

March 6, 2002

I received my American Express Bill. I was charged over $60.00 and asked if Z-tel is going to give me a refund. I was told yes but not on my credit card they did not have the info.

May 8 or 9, 2002

I called Z-tel again, said I was waiting for my refund. I was told I had a credit of $32.00+. And I would have to request the refund in order to get it. I asked what do you think I did on March 6. I was told it would take 6 to 8 weeks. Well, I told the customer service rep "I have waited the 6 to 8 weeks already". She said there was nothing else she could do. I hung up.

May 15, 2002

I called today and told the rep I never received my final statement saying I had a credit. I was told if I wanted a copy it would cost me $5.00. And that the reason I'm here.
