Zetatel called me around dinnertime on a Wednesday. My son picked up the phone and seemed very interested in the offer. I was busy at the time so I thought nothing of it. A few minutes later I heard him claim to be 18 (He's 17) and I started asking him questions. He said they'd be sending a coupon for the device in the mail, and that he recorded the conversation.

I later listened to the conversation and was releived to hear the salesman say that the device was offered free of charge, and that my son would have to call back to have it activated, and have the charge added to my phone bill. My son specified twice that he DID NOT have permission to add a charge to my phone bill, and even told the salesman outright that he didn't plan on activating the device.

I got my phone bill from SBC tonight and there is a 34.99 activation fee and a 19.99 service charge for this month. This company is a total rip off, steer clear.
