Zeeshan Chaudhry Faizan A Chaudhry, ZAF IT Consulting, Mr Zeeshan A Chaudhry, Mr Zeeshan Ashraf Sent a fraudulent check and tried to get my fiancé to wire money to them Springfield Virginia
I am writing this on behalf of my fiance. They applied for a virtual assistant job on LinkedIn and was reached out to by Zeeshan Chaudhry. The position ended up being an internship at $20/hour and only 20-25 hours a week, with a busy schedule, my fiance was excited for something that paid well and was so lenient, it could at the very least be experience for them.
Zeeshan told me fiance they would need a laptop and iPad for their remote work and was told that a check would be sent to them to deposit and purchase the tech on their own time. I thought this was weird, but with more work becoming remote, I thought maybe this was the new norm.
Our friend works at a bank and after one quick look at the check, she determined it wasn't legitamite. When my fiance pushed Zeeshan for answers, he tip toed around anything and was now insisting that they put the $3,400 into a separate Zelle account that he would have acces to, and with the money back in his hands, he would be the one to purchase the laptop and tablet. This is finally when they realized this situation was fishy.
The address on the check is to a home in Virginia and when you Google any of his aliases/spellings of his name, they all lead back to that address. The address is also connected to ZAF IT Consulting, when the job that was offered to my fiance was for the designer Rebecca Minkoff.
I think this is a smart, dangerous man who knows exactly what he's doing and purposely targeting young people looking for work on LinkedIn.
