Zip Zap Pest Control Jeff Preece Charges money for service not provided Kansas City, Missouri
Zip Zap Pest Control offers termite services that include setting traps and then monitoring them monthly. The problem is that after they set the traps and collect your money, they fail to come back to monitor the traps. They won't give you any written reports to show you what they have done or have not done. After getting absolutely no information from them, I finally reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They wouldn't respond to BBB either. There are a lot of reputable pest control companies out there. Zip Zap is not one of them.

We did receive a call from this woman, we had to remind her that 1. we monitor every three months, and did provide dates for her. The contract specifically states every 90 days not once a month, so I am sorry if you are confused about your service. 2. This was a one year warranty and was never renewed after the first year. Several cards for reminder were sent to her regarding renewing her service and they were ignored. We will not come out to keep inspecting the station if you have not renewed your service warranty. 3. We did respond back to BBB to give the same response here.
We are sorry you are upset about your service, we provide this same service to thousands of customers and have for 19 years here in Kansas City. You are the first one to complain about this matter. We had tried to explain to you how the service works and you have refused to understand the scope of the service. It is plainly written out in your service warranty. This service was provided for one year, we installed the stations and have provided to you the three other times we came to service those station. This would be every three months making one year. You did not renew your warranty and no other service was provided. You have called our office several times and we have tried to accommodate you as best as possible.
I am a Board Certified Entomologist, Past President of Missouri Pest Managament Association, Past President of Pest Managment Association of Greater Kansas City, Current President of Board Certified Entomologist of Mid America and a current Board Member of WDO Committee of National Pest Management Association. If we were truly a rip off company I would not spend any of my time on these boards trying to make this industry better.
