I have been a dedicated ZipCar customer for more than three years and my account was terminated by Zipcar after paying a bill for an outstanding ticket.  For some reason ZipCar only uses email to communicate with their customers, even though a phone call is a better option.  I never received an email that someone claims to have have sent me regarding this, I paid the ticket and then was told that my accoutn was suspended.  

After numerous unreturned phone calls to the NY office, and non answers from the call center in Boston, I decided to visit the local office in New York City. I was told they would review the account and let me know.  After not receiving a response, I emailed again, and received a response from the call center that they had informed me via email. They forwarded me an email that was supposedly sent three days prior.  I never received that email notifying me that my account had been cancelled from Brian Dombrowsky.  

I have 65 rental from zip and spent lots of money and he said I was suspended because I had been late. To which I responded that I had paid a late fee for two occasions and the others were related to NYC traffic.  I  I reminded him that on atleast three occasions after reserving a car, the car was not available and on several occasions I was moved to a siffernet vehicle without being notifed by Zipcar.

At the end of the day, I am digusted by how I am being treated after being a loyal customer.  Unreturned calls and emails, non responsive customer service and now you dare to cancel my account.  

I have informed my friends and family that I have referred to zip of this situation and asked them to cancel their accounts in solidary to a company that treats their customers as yesterdays garbage.  

MY RECOMMENDATION TO EVERYONE IS TO NOT USE THIS SERVICE SO THAT ZIPCAR LEARNS TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS BETTER.  i AM SWITCHIGN TO HERTZ ON DEMAND!!
