Purchased an Asus P5B-E Core 2 Extreme motherboard from Zipzoomfly.com order # Z3715246.

Installed motherboard and boot up with no problems. Installed windows 2000 professional and all components of the motherboard were recognized except the sound chip.
I am a professional computer repair person and handled all computer products with care and understanding of their fragility.

Returned the motherboard after a replacement was purchased and installed on RMA CN250173.The defective motherboard was packed in its original box inside another box sorrounded by bubble wrap and popcorn.

Now they claim the motherboard is damaged and I need to have ASUS repair the board at an additional cost of $40.00.

I have never experienced this type of service with any other computer supply company. I am never ever going to buy any computer products from this computer.

That you were returning it because it was defective? This is really too funny. I think my first response would have been 'Well of course it needs repairs, that why I sent it back!' Tell them that they can go ahead and have the company repair, and then resell it as a refurbished unit, since you've now taken your business elsewhere!

Good Luck!
